Despite being a “role model” it wasn’t initially the life Yoon had chosen for herself. She wanted to be able to make friends and party the night away, to experience her youth as any other individual had. Yet, her parents were against her desires to live the life of a “deviant”. They wanted her to follow in her brother’s footsteps, as someone with the upmost class, someone everyone would look up to. It didn’t help that every time they moved, and she would make a new friend, those friends would slowly drift off as the lifestyle her parents chose for her would get in the way. It was frowned upon if she didn’t win the student body presidency, or if she wasn’t the leader of the school’s debate team.

She had to perfect the art of baking and cooking, outshining the other students with a lifeless smile plastered on her lips. It wasn’t the life she wanted, but it was the only life she knew at that point. Soon enough, the though of attending social gatherings with people her own age was a lost thought. She began focusing only on her studies, attempting to surpass her brother was every fiber of her being. Of course to her parents, she never would, and she knew that. Yet, it was what drove her, kept her focused-on life ahead. Even as time passed and she has moved on with her own life, separating from her parent’s hold, or so she thought, she couldn’t bring herself to break away from the role they built.
