Description
when cole turned twelve, his grandfather died of old age. the man has left an incredible impression on him, as he was his parent, tutor, and only friend. he took his grandfather’s passing really badly, it lead to him getting in trouble at hogwarts and almost being expelled. his father stepped in, and raised him strictly until he was old enough to take care of himself. his father's wife is a devil-like woman, who hates cole. she did anything in her power to keep cole’s father from accepting him as a son. at sixteen, his father introduced him to a girl. the ideal scenario was to have cole marry her, given she was pure-blood too, and have them start a family in order to carry out the name. cole did not love her, he was a teenager and he did not understand how things worked. she was also against the planed marriage, and eventually, cheated on cole with a boy she fell for. cole did not take her betrayal well, and he caused an accident that almost took her and his life. fortunately, they both survived with minor to no injuries. cole decided to leave home at eighteen, the ploy only convinced him he had to care for himself. he managed to work as an apprentice at the ministry for a short while, where he earned enough money to support a part of his studies. the rest of the money he needed, he was forced to steal – from muggles when he needed muggle money, and from his father and wife when he needed wizard money. luckily, they never found out.
at hogwarts, he does not have the best reputation. he likes to experiment with spells and potions, and sometimes blows things up on purpose. however, because he actually appreciates education, he decided to lay low after he started university. he is a slytherin in every way possible, his morals can be misplaced, especially if crossed or angered. he is pretty good at a variety of subjects, but has a deep-seated hatred for divination. he dislikes muggle-born wizards, and might raise an eyebrow at them. he bullied them in the past, but not anymore. he learnt to be more accepting, something none of his family members have ever been.
> episodes and details were left out from cole's background to leave space for past connections, and potential traumatic events.
> cole invites a lot of character development, as he might be the family's first 'good' slytherin; take things on his profile as a guide.
those little shadows on your back, or the weird noises in your heart. those unconventional things that make people frown, those mysteries that make you feel cold. horror and terror fascinate him. he does not shy away from anything, and would touch blood. he loves the dark, therefore, prefers the night. for some reasons, he finds dementours lovely.
the warm weather, he grew up in a relatively cold climate, so heat makes him uncomfortable. violence against animals makes him angry, and so do people who dislike them. the scent of roses makes him gag, so do any rose-based products. he dislikes coffee, and prefers tea.
photography (combined with editing, he likes to get extremely creative), writing (mostly poetry), arts and crafts (he makes collages, and likes decorating), playing the piano (and occasionally singing, however never in front of someone), cooking and baking.
he aspires to become an auror like his grandfather, but is very interested in alchemy and astrology and would be alright working in one of those fields.
smoking (however, not excessively), getting drunk on week days to keep things interesting, turning cups upside down to remember things he forgot, he uses magic for almost everything (even things he should not use magic for).
an egyptian mau named flora. she is one year old, and the light of his life. she is the only one who robs smiles from him every now and then. she is incredible loyal to her owner. she would not let anyone touch her, AND COULD GET AGGRESSIVE IF RUBBED THE WRONG WAY.
goth-like, he wears a lot of dark colours, however, he likes to keep his wardrobe as diverse as possible. he is a big fan of accessories, especially chains, belts, harnesses, and bracelets. he keeps most of his outfits pretty simple, but elevates them with accessories. you might see him wear some make-up (rarely), especially if he is having a bad day. he has three minimalistic tattoos: the word 'mörker' (swe. darkness) written vertically on his nape; the aquarius constellation behind his left ear; a snake on his hip bone. he has his ears pierced, but does not wear earrings all the time. he wears glasses both as a fashion statement and because he actually needs them.

if you lose interest in our plot, please let me know (I can assure you, I will not get upset). I will, in turn, also let you know if I lose muse/inspiration for our plot.
writing style:
my writing tends to range from multi-para to novella, depending on my inspiration and writing partner. I tend to mirror when possible (if I do not have a writer's block). I would be happy if you could adjust to my length (not exactly the same, but at least half of what I give you - sometimes I go overboard, so do not feel pressured, please). this is important because I need something to work with. I will never tolerate one-lined replies, and would drop any partner who gives me that. I put effort, passion, and care in all my replies, hence why they come slower sometimes.
plotting:
I like a variety of diverse themes and genres, and to be honest, I am alright with most of them (I prefer darker plots, with violence/blood/gore/psychological issues/etc. but light-hearted adventure/slice of life are also good). given the nature of this roleplay, short, friendly plots would work better! I do not do , fluff, or forced romance plots (my gf dislikes it when I write with others, and honestly the genre does not intrigue me, it bores me to death - just my personal input). however, if the plot requires implied , or develops into some sort of romantic connection it is alright! canons are alright as long as they are discussed beforehand!
triggers:
anything regarding ual abuse or non-consensual ual activity; suicide; depression; and self-harm. if our plot or your storyline involves any of these, it is alright if you mention them, just do not go into details please. I can assure you I treat all triggering topics as sensitively as possible (and I always mark them). I will ask you your triggers before plotting (if you do not have them listed), and if you are underage, I will not have extremely violent, or triggering plots with you.
