Fame, fortune, and glory — in the beginning, Song Taehwan always told himself that he'd never let any of it change him. As a young, budding director with a rapidly growing career, Taehwan had always feared falling under the spell of fame, and his family seemed to be fearful of the very same thing. His older sister had always warned him of the perils of Hollywood from her home back in Busan, and for a few years, Taehwan kept all her words in his heart.

But, as it turns out, Taehwan was never very good at resisting temptation.

Song Taehwan, director of the horror movie Sepulchre, quickly makes his debut in Hollywood after winning an Oscar for this hair-raising, unnerving film. Despite being born and raised in Busan, South Korea, the rising star earned hundreds of five-star reviews in America due to the sheer eerieness of the film, accompanied by a message that transcends cultural differences. Song is rumored to be working with several high profile Hollywood actors for his next film, which remains a closely guarded secret that several horror-lovers are dying to know.

His career quickly took off, and soon he made a name for himself making horror movies. Despite the material of his films, Taehwan was known to be a relatively relaxed, easygoing guy — that is, until Hollywood changed him. Drugs, alcohol, fame, fortune — Taehwan had everything he could ever need, so much so that he neglected his humble beginnings, shrugging off his family's concerns when they heard of rumors and scandals in the news. He neglected the happiness of his sister and her newborn daughter, only ever sending Christmas gifts and birthday presents as he partied with other celebrities in anticipation of his next big hit.

But things took a turn for the worse — at age 30, Song Taehee passed away in a car crash with her husband, leaving behind their young infant daughter, Eunjung. Taehwan was quick to take the first flight back to Busan for the funeral, standing over the casket with nothing but regret and anger in his heart — anger and frustration with himself, for not even being able to say goodbye to his beloved sister, for not ever having patched things up with her, for having always neglected her and her family for material things that didn't even matter.

But Taehwan wasn't going to stand there being angry with himself, no — he was going to turn over a new leaf. Out of concern for his aging parents, too tired to take care of such a young girl, he quickly did his best to win custody of little Eunjung. Due to the fortune he'd amassed, he'd then been able to adopt her, much to the shock and gratitude of his parents. He promised to keep in touch with them and turn away from the vices he'd enjoyed in the past in order to give Eunjung the best life she could ever have — she deserved all that and more.

Today, Eunjung is a healthy 3 year old girl, living with her uncle Taehwan (although she calls him her father) in Bellevue Apartment. It's been 3 years since his sister's death, but Taehwan vows to never stray from his original ideals and goals, and to never give in to the perils of fame and fortune — all for the sake of this little girl that had won his heart, and for the memory of his beloved sister.
