Ever since the discovery that she was pregnant, Lianxi would let her unborn child listen to classical music, traditional Chinese music, jazz, hip-hop, you name it, in the hopes that her child would too, be blessed with musical genes.
The couple was careful and went the extra mile to ensure that their child would be perfectly healthy and would be given the best life possible when s/he arrived.
On the 7th of August 1996, the couples' blessing finally stepped foot into the world. Lianxi had given birth to a beautiful baby girl who they named Xueyi - xue meaning snow and yi meaning meaning, in the hopes that their baby girl would have a meaningful life that was as pure as the beautiful white snow that had fallen on the day they met.
From a small age, Xueyi had been naturally gifted with music. She'd passed her piano exam in grade 8 with high distinction by the mere age of 9 and she'd started writing music by the age of 10.
A musical genius, a child prodigy - that's what anyone who'd met her would call her and she was her parents' pride and gem. It wouldn't be until the age of 17 that things started to be turned upside down for her.
