Growing up, Atlas had to be perfect or he was worth nothing. By perfect, it meant no talking back, always showing respect to those older than you (even if they were wrong and a ing ), not having an opinion, not being any different than family friends' kids unless that meant you were better than them, and absolutely no spending time doing anything other than studying or practicing a useful skill. It was suffocating having to pretend that he was somebody he wasn't everyday. It was even more obnoxious constantly having to feel his chest tighten when his parents would spit nonsense at him, invalidating what he felt was important or things he started taking interest in. But his brother, oh his younger and constant bother, could never do anything bad. He could set the whole house on fire and his parents would still find a way to defend him.

For the first few years of his life, Atlas tried to shake off the feeling of unfairness. He had to have been overreacting. Their parents loved and treated them equally, right? He continued to feed himself that until it became very apparent which one was favored over the other. Jealousy continued to bite at him for years, being constantly reminded that no matter what he did, he could never amount to his younger brother or even come close to the love his parents had held in their hearts for him. Boy, did he try though. He wasted his teenager years, investing his time in any and everything he could find that could garner their attention. It never worked. What was so wrong with him that was incapable of being loved? Atlas had thought about it so much, that he was sick to the point of his hands shaking around them. Then, it all made sense. Overhearing a discussion between his two parents, he discovered that he actually wasn't even their child. He had been left on their doorstep as an infant, his mother being too embarrassed to even have a kid with the way she was living her life. He was a ing charity case, but even then they couldn't find it in themselves to love him.

At 17, Atlas ran away from Australia and caught a plane to America, having only fifty dollars in his pocket after the flight. From there, he couch surfed for years, helping anybody that he could if that meant he had a place to rest his head for the night. With the help of some friends he was able to find a job at a music store, where he worked himself into the ground until he was able to find an affordable place to room with somebody. It took another push from his friends for him to jump into the streaming world of twitch. Now, the youngest person ever to have such a fast growing twitch page, he upgraded his living space and lifestyle, but is still the same humble Atlas that jumped from couch to couch for months on end.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hello! Call me Kite, Gyu or even my character name, Atlas. I'm a double majoring college student, so I don't exactly have an extreme amount of time on my hands. I'm pretty chill and I really am here to vibe/find great writing partners.
