appearance: areti's natural hair color is white-blonde, his eyes dark brown. though his ears are pierced, he tends to not wear jewelry in them unless it's for a special occasion like taking a day off to hit the town with his brother. he's taller than his brother (he got all of the height), and built with muscle from years of tossing cargo around and fighting pirates and other seafaring assailants. 

chapter i: areti spiros was born and raised in greece, he and his twin brother the youngest children of a family that consisted of a negligent father and a passive mother. areti and avra were never the favored children of their father, but time would prove to make both of them even more the outcast children. they were both young when their mother formed the respective engagements to other young nymphs. the difference in their engagements was drastic; avra knew his betrothed and was able to grow up with him, but areti knew his only through pictures and brief, extremely rare, meetings. it was not the betrothal, however, that would eventually drive areti to flee from his home country.

chapter iI:   the realization that areti had no interest in the ual aspects of life, a foreign concept for a nymph of his grove, brought avra's warning of what would happen if he was discovered. areti understood the concern, he knew the dangers. he was not the first anomlay to be produced by the grove and he had heard the tales of how that nymph had been fixed of her transgression. but areti fled greece, leaving all of his belongings behind and only a short note tucked away in a secret place that only avra knew of to explain his decision.

chapter IIi: areti's running away left his betrothed standing alone at the altar, the spiros family never giving the other family the information that areti had fled greece. the spiros family expected that areti would appear on the wedding day to earn his family's forgiveness. areti, however, did no such thing and remained far from greece instead. this was the  second perceived humiliation of the spiros family, their name tarnished by the spread of gossip about how one of their youngest sons had left his fiance to stand alone at the altar and the other had broken off his engagement himself. 

 

chapter iV: areti found himself in spain, though not yet on the island; he was roped into working as a cargo on a ship, though the job was never year-round and so areti's employment would be on again and off again, working odd jobs in between his terms on the sea and going wherever the ship would take him. moving around was fine, but areti always returned to some area of spain.

 

chapter V: a chance encounter with avra when he was working a shipment of flowers brought the brothers back together at last, avra coincidentally the man whose flower shipment areti was guarding. this discovery helped areti to establish a more permanent residence in the city of dreams, though he remained as a cargo .

• he is currently not taking any cargo jobs, due to the threats in the city

• he has a tense relationship with some of the members of vos and he disapproves of avra's involvement with the gang, but tolerates it because it's his twin's own decision

• has an accent similar to his brother's, but speaks without a lisp

➘ avra spiros: twin brother, the other half of a whole. areti and avra came from the same seed that split and grew two saplings instead of one. they are connected deeper than most twins as a result and on some days share telepathy.

➘ kivari ae: the phoenix in vos. areti and kivari have a complicated history and do not like each other in the slightest. they fight whenever they see one another, and no one's really sure who starts the fights in the first place. neither of them are innocent.
