background: derek mantaya is a 27-year-old freelance hunter who kills and sells creatures to the black market. he got into the trade when he was only 14 after he had witnessed his little sister get torn apart by an unknown creature. as he's getting older, he plans to quit and live a peaceful life in the forest, but he keeps getting back into the business.

Secrets. You are one of Derek's close childhood friends who happens to be a mythical creature. Knowing what kind of career path Derek has chosen, you decide to keep it a secret from him until further notice. One day, the two are hanging out and drinking in his cabin and you accidentally slip up. Derek impulsively pulls out his knife and points it at you, but immediately regrets it when he sees the hurt in your eyes. This is essentially just Derek trying to make it up to you, but also not willing to give up his job.

One Night Stand.R. Derek is having a rough day, having lost a clients due to hesitating to kill the child of some elves, whom he had no problem killing. He finds himself at a bar, drinking his anger away. You notice him drinking alone and decided to keep him company in exchange for some cash, whether it be given to you or taken when Derek wasn't paying attention. Derek notices you trying to pickpocket him and invites you to spend a night with him to teach you a lesson. (will involve profanity, some torture, choking, mild verbal abuse, resistance, . please know your own limits and let me know as well!)

Assignment. Derek is assigned to scope out your family and get close to you in order to get the 'list' of high-profile criminals your family pays to protect. You quickly fall for Derek's charm and decide to make it official. Your parents do not like humans and disapprove of the relationship, stating that all humans were evil. This wasn't a lie, but Derek wasn't going to let them know that. He eventually gains the family's trust and finds the list to carry out his duties.
