brief background ; silas was born into a forest-based wolf pack in a country torn apart by civil war. this pack of werewolves was neutral and nomadic. they moved from forest to forest, and although the country they lived in was full of turmoil, silas had a normal, loving childhood. however, at the age of 15 his pack was ambushed by soldiers from the government, who slaughtered most of the older members and stole the young ones, including silas. these werewolves were intended to become test subjects, and eventually unwilling soldiers for the new regime. silas was subject to extreme physical and mental torture, and eventually mind manipulation to turn him and the other wolves into "mindless" killing machines. alongside this "training" he was taught how to be a human soldier as well, improving his skills in weaponry, combat, spying, etc. [ in between stuff here ] silas escaped the country and traveled for months before ending up in the city. in order to hide himself from the organization, and because he had no identification or money, he joined a local gang.
weapons choice ; he prefers small firearms, but is skilled in most kinds of modern weaponry and hand-to-hand combat (as well as using objects around him), and will kill (if he needs to) in any way necessary

he had a normal life until he was stolen from his pack / clan around the age of 15 by a secret government body. this branch of the government sought to use werewolves as their unwilling soldiers, due to their heightened strength and senses, which lead to a heightened killing capability. he was subjected to a variety of physical and mental torture, but this was just meant to break him down. the true worst part was the mind manipulation. the lead "scientists" at the facility where he was kept knew how to change the chemicals in his brain to turn him into a "mindless" killing machine in his humanoid wolf form. in reality, none of the wolves were mindless, but instead these people activated their fear and rage centers, making them terrified out of their minds or angry beyond belief, to the point where the wolf doesn't know what's happening, and is fighting to protect itself from any possible threat. these manipulated wolves are then released onto enemies of the government, where after the slaughter, the killings can be blamed on a "new rogue insane werewolf pack," and not the government body. [ MORE TO COME ] he has recently escaped this body along with several other werewolves, and is trying to lay low and blend in by joining an organization in the city (vos maybe ? chau ?). he has told no one his story, too ashamed of himself, and too paranoid that members of the government could be hiding in secret around him. he does not change into either of his wolf forms now, and forces himself to remain human even on full moons. he feels extremely disconnected from his wolf - where once he and his wolf were one and the same, now he fears this part of himself, and refuses to mesh with it, leading to further mental damage. (seunggi hot werewolf go brrrrr that's all i could think of i didn't plan on making him so angsty dhsjhs)

extra information ;
+ due to the torture, tests, etc. he underwent at the facility he has a white / silver / grey streak in his hair. he colors this brush in box dye in order to hide it, since the streak could give him away to hidden members of the organization. this streak reflects the changes he underwent at the facility, since his coat in humanoid and wolf form has turned ash grey, when it used to be light brown
+ he has two other forms besides his normal human form. i call one the humanoid form, and the other the wolf form. the humanoid form is basically half-human, half-wolf. he retains a bipedal walk / run (although he can use all fours as well) and a humanoid body structure. the wolf form is what it says on the tin - a normal looking wolf, although slightly larger than an actual wolf.
+ speaking of different forms, his humanoid form is the one that was used to carry out killing missions and the like. his wolf form was not. the only time he was forced to enter his wolf form was for certain torture sessions, due to the heightened instinctive and animal-like state it would put him in.
+ skdjfhdsjh he has rly low self esteem let's just get that out of the gate. he has an extremely low opinion of himself, pretty much due to the amount of people he killed while under the control of the organization. he feels intense guilt for what he's done, but you won't here him feeling sorry for himself bc 1) he doesn't think he deserves it and 2) feeling sorry for himself doesn't get things done.
+ the pack he was born into believed that they were wolves first, and human second (as in they're born as wolves with the ability to take on human form and thought). whether their belief is true or not is yet to be seen, but because of this belief it is that much harder for silas to be so disconnected from his wolf, which used to be the more central part of himself, as deep as his soul. 

some points i need to think about ;
+ a/b/o ?? not sure if i'll follow that route or not, but if i did, i'd say he never presented bc for his pack they normally presented between the ages of 18-20, and due to the manipulation he went through at the facility it basically stopped him from presenting. would be an interesting plot if he suddenly presented now that he's out of the facility.
+ mating / true mate ? idk i think it'd be kind of romantic if he had a mate at some point, but not, like, a soulmate, if that makes sense ? like it's someone he would have a deep, profound bond with, but it's not like they were made for each other. they chose each other, it wasn't fate or destiny. 
+ [ NSFW ] so,,,, like,,,, werewolfy things,,,, basically knotting and breeding and all that i also don't know if i'll go that route or not but we are thinking about it, it is being considered

random other things ;
+ i would love to do a plot where he's somehow triggered into entering his wolf form by accident, and bc it's been so long he basically loses all human sense and hides under the bed or the table bc he's so ing scared. i just want someone to comfort him and bring him out of that place.
+ another plot i want to do is like,,,,, he and another grunt / lower level vos member are sent to do a routine meeting / run / what-have-you, but something goes wrong and they're almost killed - except he quickly killed whoever was attacking them, and now they have to escape the enemy building without getting killed / caught. i mostly just want him to take on a leadership role, and also incapacitating people left and right much to the other person's surprise bc HotTM
