Jennifer Ruby Capulet was never supposed to be born. At least, that's what she was always told. She was the second twin, the "surprise" as she was often told. Her twin, older than Jen by 20 minutes, was planned and expected. In fact, her parents nor the doctors even knew she existed until she was being born. Apparently, she had been behind her twin and therefore hard to detect. Despite not expecting Jen, she was welcomed into the family with bright smiles and warm hugs. Though it was easy to see that her twin was the more favored of the two. Jen was the stronger twin and so Jen was left in the hands of nannies and to her own devices, while her twin was dotted on.

The family was determined to keep a certain image though, so the twins got the same level of education, something her twin excelled at, as well as the same level of martial arts training, something Jen took to very well. As she got older, she developed a genuine interest in various styles of martial arts and photography. This would eventually lead to her becoming a model at the age of 18. Though not her strong suit, Jen continued her education and training in preparation for taking the title of underboss, a position that was all but guaranteed as the stronger twin. However, an incident that resulted in the death of one of her cousins caused that position to be taken from Jen.

To her shock and displeasure, the position instead went to her twin who gladly accepted the role. Fearing she'd do something she'd regret, Jen left the city for a while to continue her training and education, eventually launching her clothing and makeup line Jinx. Since returning to Verona, Jen was given a position as the caporegime of the Trucco Crew. While she does take this position seriously, she'd simply biding her time before she takes what's rightfully hers, the position of underboss.

Jen is not afraid to get her hands dirty if need be, but like the rest of her family, prefers to have others do it for her. She's also well known for dating older, richer men who have a tendency to disappear under mysterious circumstances while their assets get turned over to her. Because of her skills, looks, and position, she's usually the one the family sends with the consigliere to conduct business. She’s also usually the one that pays the politicians and police/lawyers in allegiance with her family.

hello peeps, babyqueen here! you can call me by my username, my characters' names, or by my nickname Nikki. I don't mind new nicknames either so feel free to have a go lol. my timezone is GMT-4 or -5 depending on the time of year (screw you daylight savings). I usually just say GMT-5 though because I'm lazy. I'm one of the admins here so feel free to pm me if you have any comments, concerns, or questions. However, since I have three characters here, Sera, Rhitt, and Jen, for the sake of organization I ask that you send any admin-related PMs to my Sera Devlin character.

On the topic of PMs, they are mostly for plotting and ooc talk or admin-related things. I prefer to plot and write in 3rd pov but I can also do detailed 1st pov. My length varies and I will usually try to mirror what you give me, but I can go from script to multi-para. It's very rare especially nowadays that I will do novella. I prefer to rp in rooms but I don't mind moving sensitive moments (whether it's triggering or ) to PMs if my writing partner prefers that. I like to keep my wall as clean as possible as this is where I'll be keeping notes/updates on my character that don't need to be in their profile.

OOC I am 24 years old. Because of this, and due to the nature of the roleplay, my characters will be involved in mature content. This includes but is not limited to violence, drugs, and . Also due to the nature of the roleplay and the positions my characters play, they may be involved in triggering content. Proper warnings will be posted where applicable. I don't have many triggers in regards to roleplaying so I'm always open to doing darker plots. I also love plots with angst and drama but will never say no to other genres.

I am usually pretty good at keeping track of who I'm roleplaying with and where so I don't need to be poked. Please refrain from doing so as it will only result in me actually wanting to reply less even if I have high muse for our plot. That being said, if it's been more than 4 days since my last reply and I'm not on hiatus and you see I'm active, feel free to send me a reminder as chances are in this case the reply got lost in my notifications.
