Zhou Mi used to be the model of a happy man. His father is a politician and he followed his steps in the public service as a diplomat, what means high income and stable career. He was also engaged to a woman from a well-off family like him, and one could say they looked like a couple from a tv commercial, their looks and backgrounds only rivaled by those of celebrities. 

 

The wedding didn't have a set date and because of Zhou Mi's tight schedule and frequent business travels, it was always being postponed. That was until big news broke out: his fianceé got pregnant. They rushed the marriage plans to have everything done before her belly became too visible, bought a bigger house and had everything ready for the big day.

 

Husband and wife to-be went to do the prenatal tests together, taken care by a doctor who was friends with Zhou Mi's family. As they were about to leave, the said doctor pulled the diplomat by the arm to have a private talk. His fiancée wasn't being honest about the time she got pregnant, counting the weeks properly it'd have been when Zhou Mi was working abroad. 

 

The marriage was cancelled, the house was sold and the male asked to work for the embassy in a foreign country - it'd be the only way to somewhat walk away from the shame and overwhelming disappointment. Nowadays he works in Seoul taking care of economic affairs between Korea and his home country.
