—  His History

Hades, the third eldest son of Kronos became The God of The Underworld because his eldest brother tricked him. This is because he actually hold an amount of jealousy whenever Hera talks with Hades. However, Hades did not really hold that much of a grudge against his own brother for deceiving him, in fact, he quite like having his own realm. He liked the darkness and he liked the privacy as no mortals would dare to step into the land of dead for fun. He does not really have to worry about intruders except for some incidents of course. 

 

Until one fine day, he met this beautiful girl while asking a favor from Demeter. The face of that girl stayed in his mind for a very long time and he can't help but think about her. When he found out that the girl is actually Demeter's daughter, Persephone, he tried to stay away. He really tried. But, as fates had been written, it seems the goddess can't get rid of the god in her mind either. Hades found her almost drowned in the River Styx and that is how their love story began. 

—  The Separation

Despite of Demeter dissaprove of their relationship and Zeus and Apollo tried to win the young goddess' heart, Hades and Persephone got married. In a year, they have come to a agreement that Persephone would spend time with Demeter for 6 months and the other half year, she would snuggle up with Hades in the Underworld. However, one day, Persephone complained to Hades about his violence towards some souls and she couldn't take it. The next morning, Hades woke up to find himself alone in bed. He tried looking for her but gave up after a few hundred years because she seemed like she does not want to be found. It broke him, it did but the sudden workload he had kept him busy.
