family burned to the ground by a group of hunters, joshua survived the tragedy with his family's maid who kept him safe. finding a good place to stay was hard for both vampires considering that they need to conceal their true monstrosity against the world. joshua sought a solution.

"joshua? what did you do?"

right before him and his maid, one of the people he recruited in his group had a black colored sack that slung around his arm. they pulled out a severed head, eyes still wide from the sudden impact taken he assumed, judging by the way he asked his hitman to kill their requested target, they didn't take their job lightly at all. the next item they took out was an arm. limbs torn apart rather harshly with whatever weapon chosen from the basement. neither joshua or his maid flinched at the horrific sight. a small pool of blood had slowly trickle down on the green carpet he had in his office. that needs to be cleaned.

"good job. place that with the others. you will be rewarded greatly."

he turned his attention back to his maid. her expression changed, once worrisome to a blank, straight face. she sighed and looked at the only hong, pureblood of the family. now a owning a group of killers who will do his bidding.

"i'm doing work."

he did earn profit from the new job he had. she watched the whole hong family turn humans to vampires once and never questioned their methods or reasons upon doing so.

joshua as the first heir and founder to corvus, right when he turned 100, has brought many allies. the majority of them turned by joshua, hating the thought of his clan decreasing by number. it was his fear upon his growth, that each and every vampire would slowly disappear from the face of the world. he gained countless of rivals among the city grounds, but no one dared to take the crown off his head.

he has never passed down the mantle to anyone and felt unsure if he should just yet.

besides watching the mortals live and die around him, life has been rather dull on his part. the same thought of killing, hospital work, secret ual encounters and the arts of painting had spiralled his personal schedule many times for him to drop the order it had. joshua has no other desire except to remain on the top from every gang in the city of kalios. after witnessing the wolves and demons rise from their place, he had no other choice but to increase his population even if it took so much lives on stake.

might as well induldge himself in this game of ranks while he's still alive.

the story of his life continued to produce infinite pages that the pen he held had a mind of it's own, writing non-stop, just like the beautifully intricate string of his life, woven to forever be eternal.
