chapter one.

Despite the centuries-old traditions held by the prominent wizarding clans of South Korea, Everett and Emrys' parents were destined to be star-crossed lovers. So, despite the trials and tribulations against them, they fled to live a happier life in England, starting a family of their own away from prying eyes and scornful abuse.

And though it was a difficult journey, eventually, Everett and Emrys were born. Twin boys who became the light of their parent's lives and were promised the world. They were happy little boys; Emrys was the sun to Everett's moon, his brother a rambunctious young fellow whereas Everett found that he had a quiet affinity with the wild creatures that lived in the garden surrounding their cottage.

But the world could be a harsh place, and living among the muggles meant that the Seong family were seen as... a little odd, to say the least. But to an extent, Everett didn't mind because all he needed was his brother and his parents; who cared what the other kids at school said? But isolation had a funny habit of messing things up and Everett would soon come to find that out.

chapter two.

When it came time to join the wizarding world, Everett would find that Hogwarts presented its own set of challenges. What was meant to be a fresh start became a repeat of his muggle school years when the sorting hat placed him in the least likely of houses; Gryffindor. It was even more complicated when Emrys was sorted into Slytherin. While Everett could never put himself in any of the Hogwarts houses, he had always assumed that he and his brother would be placed in the same house. Despite their separation, neither the twins nor their parents cared; their parents were just proud that their young boys could get the education they deserved.

They didn't account for the fact that Everett didn't precisely embody many Gryffindor qualities. At least none of the more obvious ones. Still, he was determined to make the best of the situation, but life could be cruel, and Everett would come to find that for all the preaching of kindness and upholding justice, Gryffindor could be just as nasty as any other house. Especially when you didn't fit in.

The years didn't treat Everett too kindly. It seemed that life was determined to insist that Everett wasn't a true Gryffindor, that he was nothing more than a chubby loser with no social skills. The isolation he put himself through didn't help; for a time, the only people he would interact with at Hogwarts was his own brother and professors; Hagrid, in particular, took a mutual shining to Everett as his affinity with magical creatures bloomed over the years.

chapter three.

To this day, he still doesn't know what caused the Emerald De Lisle to take a liking to the chubby, acne-ridden, impossibly short and greasy Everett, but she did. And suddenly, Everett wasn't ignored anymore. Of course, he knew these new friendships were conditional, that they only talked to him because of Emerald, but he didn't mind. Especially since over the last few years, Emrys had really come into his own. It was lonely, Everett could admit that, but he was happy that his brother was happy, even at the cost of Everetts own happiness.

With Emeralds help, Everett overcame some of his trademark awkwardness, and he was able to make a few genuine friends. And it was around his 3rd college year that his dormmates started to realise that while he didn't hold any of the fiery attitudes that Gryffindors were known for, Everett had his own unique Gryffindor qualities. Notably, while he could never stand up for himself around the Slytherins, Everett would not hesitate to put himself in harm's way when care for magical creatures lessons go wrong; the coiled burn on his forearm is a testament to that. Everett still ranked low on the social ladder but he couldn't find it in himself to care; it seemed as if things were finally starting to go his way.

everett is really bad at naming things, if it weren't for his brother stepping in, Everett would have called his owl 'hoot' — figures of speech can sometimes go over his head — if an animal is not actively trying to kill him, he must pet it —he doesn't like looking at people directly when talking to them, it's a learned behaviour after a few incidents from when he was younger.

Clothes are not exactly a high priority for Everett, not when he has much more consequential matters to worry about. His wardrobe is somewhat small and consists almost entirely of second-, third-, fourth-generation hand-me-downs; rarely does he get to indulge in brand new clothing items.

The rundown of Everetts wardrobe is quite simple as there is little to discuss. He lacks a cohesive style, not by choice, but if asked or forced to express an opinion; he tends to like practical fashion with a slight grunge edge.

Don't poke me unless it's been more than 12 days and I have not updated you as to when I will reply.

Don't give me a one liner more than three times in a row. I understand muse and inspiration wavers but when I get little to no effort from you over and over again, then I will drop the plot without warning. I am ok with waiting longer for a reply if you need it, just let me know first. I'm a super patient person.

Don't pull any mary-sue / gary-stu bs with me. Respond to my reply with context in mind and I will do the same; if my character does something that, in context, is scary / confusing to another person, then react as so. I write my characters a certain way and I expect some sort of respect for that.
