Description
about
Wen Junhui hates being rich.
Being born into a wealthy family has a lot of implications — one of them being the fact that somehow, he's already at the top of the social hierarchy, so far up that he feels like he has no choice but to look down at those 'below' him. It never felt right; even as a young kid, Junhui disliked treating the household staff in his home disrespectfully. Seeing others treat theirs as if they were nothing, as if they were better than them, made him frown a little every time he witnessed it, but he said nothing. It wasn't that much of a big deal as long as the staff didn't get hurt, he thought.
It wasn't until he was sixteen that he discovered just how bad the people around him could get. He was slowly expanding his view of the world, realizing not just how high they were in society's hypothetical pyramid but how small their circle was, as well — and it was suffocating. In every gathering he went to, Junhui felt eyes on him like he was some kind of strange creature. He was fully aware of his status as the son of the wealthiest businessman in China, but that didn't give people the right to treat him differently — Jun could feel it when they were trying to soften him up, trying to get as close to him as possible for their own selfish reasons. Their gazes felt like metal bars that surrounded him until it formed a cage around him with nowhere to go unless he gave them what they wanted.
He was trapped.
Freedom came with the perfect timing of the birth of his rebellious streak, refusing to attend those kinds of events any longer unless he was especially needed — eventually he learned how to sneak out of his house to run off to the city as well. To his father, it was the source of a brand new headache, but to Junhui? It was an escape, a getaway from everything that chained him down in his life. For the first time, Junhui felt like he was living, and somehow he managed to stay away from any consequences longer than he expected. Maybe his dad was nicer than Jun imagined him to be.
Of course, good things never last, and Junhui was already twenty-three when he learned just how wrong his assumption about his father was; he learned that he was getting engaged to someone he didn't know, and any attempts to make an arguement were brushed off.
("Dad, I get that you don't like me always ditching gatherings and you'd want to punish me for it, but this — this is too much! I don't even know who she is!" "This is for your own good, Junhui. fooling around isn't going to get you anywhere. you'll understand someday." "But—" "You'll meet her in a couple days' time. I'll give you the details by then. Don't make a fool of yourself.")
A gut feeling made Junhui go to his first meeting with his supposed fiancee despite his opposition to it — and though he went expecting the worse, Junhui got home feeling freer than ever. The lady (whose name was Xiaoting, he learned) wasn't as dead set on marrying him like he originally thought and even suggested they go their own separate ways, which led Junhui to a single idea: running away from home.
The plan wasn't entirely foolproof at all; he only brought enough belongings to carry on his bag and cash to hopefully last long, then made his escape using his usual route. Junhui had no concrete plans even once he got on the bus going to a province he considered far enough, without any knowledge about living alone — and this would prove to be a huge mistake. Only God knows how many times Junhui got stressed about things he didn't know before, but soon enough he learned to adapt, to survive. Every now and then he would have to move to a new province to keep his father off his trail, but his adventures only lasted a good two years before he got caught — apparently a picture of him spread online while he was working in a small diner, saying he was too handsome to only be doing that. How it got out so fast, he doesn't know. Go figure.
And so Junhui went back to living in his fancy, lifeless house with no idea what was in store for him — not until he woke up one day and saw his father waiting for him with the news that he was to study in STELLAVENACE if he didn't want to suffer the repercussions of disappearing for two years. It came as a surprise when Junhui reluctantly agreed; Sure, he hated studying, but the look on Mr. Wen's face told him that jun shouldn't be testing his patience any further.
A mere two months later, Junhui was already on a flight to Medina, still unsure about the decision he made, but he was going to be fine — he had to be.

Basic: Junhui is generally a friendly person and won't hesitate to greet someone if he wants to talk to them — but don't mistake him for an extrovert, because unwanted attention is enough to make him feel embarrassed. connections
Minghao
— Contact name: haohao
— An ex-fling turned friend. Junhui wasn't really the type to get attached easily, but he found comfort in Minghao — he felt understood. So, he decided to ask if they could still be friends right before he went into hiding, with Minghao being one of the few people Junhui regularly gave updates on about his life. This was a decision he didn't regret making, and he doesn't think he ever will.
Kim Mingyu
— Contact name: mingyu, the one and only roommate
— Junhui's roommate in the league house. In his own opinion, he and Mingyu have quite an odd relationship. Perhaps it's because of the never-ending nervousness Mingyu shows when he's around him, but he doesn't mind; it's actually cute.
Shen Xiaoting
— Contact name: n/a
— Junhui's ex-fiancée. Despite Junhui's dislike of the arranged marriage between them, the bond between the two didn't become antagonistic at all — he might say they're closer to being best friends, even.
Choi Yoojung & Kim Jiwoo
— Contact names: yunyun's foster mama #1, yunyun's foster mama #2
— Self-explanatory. Aside from himself and a couple others, they're the ones Junhui trusts Yunyun with the most, and they seem to be Yunyun's favorite people too. (Junhui's still at the top, though. He refuses to give up that spot.)

One. You can call me Gian, my username, or by my chara's name. PM to plot, please! I don't bite I swear (haha unless...?)
Two. GMT +8, but my body clock makes it seem like I live at GMT +0.
Three. I can do 1st and 3rd POV, with the latter being my preference. Semi-para to para. I don't do novella. I usually mirror, but might make replies shorter if my brain doesn't work anymore.
Four. Rooms > Walls > PMs (in special cases). Don't post on wall if we're not roleplaying.
Five. Replies may vary from fast to very slow because I'm illiterate, or depending on my muse. Poke me after a week. Don't assume I can reply immediately just because I'm active on chat.
Six. Please do understand that I'm small brain when it comes to plotting, so it's always better to PM me if you already have something in mind.
