—  Love grows;

It is said that the day he was born, it was the brightest day of the month. The sun shone on his face and decorated his cheeks with little kisses, the freckles he slowly grew to love over the years. He was born and raised in Australia, often visiting Yeongwon because it's where his grandparents were born and where his mother lived for many years. He liked it there, sure, but he was a little boy with big dreams: he wanted to see the city.

His parents were always supportive of their little ball of sunshine, from his little mishaps to his adventurous explorations, he was free to grow and experience the world. The boy loved to see smiles on anyone's faces, and more importantly he enjoyed being the very reason why those smiles existed. It wasn't out of pride, but instead just pure joy, knowing he could be some sort of beacon of light for someone.

Then he met a girl. It was love at first sight, head over heels, something he expected to be around forever. It was puppy love, of course, but he fell hard. But with that came the hard lesson that not all things lasted.

The couple moved to a big city together once they were out of school, in search of jobs and seeking that big dream. He managed to get a dream job: he was working at a bakery, enjoying everything about it. Making pasteries, tending to customers, seeing people's faces light up whenever they particularly enjoyed something, or even just seeing people gather together in the place. That, and it was the city! The lights, the people, the hustle and bustle! And he had the girl of his dreams right there with him! What more could he ask for?

His world came crashing down when said girl of his dreams broke up with him. She had told him that she wasn't happy anymore. There was no further explanation: was it him? Was it where they were living? She didn't tell him, and soon she was moving away again, away from him. His job couldn't support him living out in the city on his own, so he soon found himself struggling and grappling for something, anything. Going back home to Australia wasn't exactly an option: at that point, his parents didn't have room in their home for him, and they themselves encouraged him to stay out there, maybe find himself some more on his own. He was an adult, after all.

Eventually, he found himself back in Yeongwon, no longer with his parents, and no longer a child. He settled in and started doing little jobs around the small town: from delivering for the local shops, to handing out flyers and newspapers, to even covering others' shifts when businesses were short-staffed, he was helping out wherever he could. He never said it out loud, but he would do anything to see a smile. It gave him a little boost, something he didn't even realize he needed so badly.

The breakup caused a huge dent in his confidence. Did he do something wrong? Was he the problem? Those were questions that would always be swimming in his mind from that point on. That, and maybe he wasn't cut out for love.

At least the ocean breeze could wash away the fears and worries of the world. Maybe not forever, but long enough.

The best (and easiest) way to describe Yongbok is quite literally... a ball of sunshine. He's super loving and loyal, charming and fun. He enjoys joking around and making friends, even if he is a bit shy. He will 100% tease his friends. Overall, he's very open and understanding: a friend to all.

But you wouldn't honestly try to hurt someone as sweet and pure as him, would you? Please do I love angst.
