youmin grew up as the token happy go lucky kid. he was always bright and energetic. he made friends everywhere he went and always brightened up a room. one day, he was scouted on the street by a company and since he was in such a good mood, he decided to audition. he managed to get in as they saw passion in him. though, he was left training for longer than he had hoped. he missed out on getting into the company's first boy group simply because they thought he was not ready yet. he even missed a chance to be on produce 101, and he began t grow insecure about himself.

debuting in jinx gave him the biggest boost of energy since he started training. his hard training earned him a lead dancer role, and he even trained to be a rapper even though he originally wanted to be a vocalist. but, sure of his skills, he took the positions with stride. though, when their leader announced he was leaving the group, he was worried the group would hit a stopping point. what he did not expect was to walk into the ceo's office and be told he was getting promoted to the new leader of jinx. ever since then, he has stressed over this position. he knows he's trained for as long as some of his seniors, if not longer, but he didn't feel confident enough to lead a group. despite these worries, he does his best to hide the feelings behind his bright image.
