Kyle is an extrovert. he likes socializing, and as much as he also enjoys his own alone time like everybody else, he does prefer to be surrounded by people, be it at a large crowded party, or a small get together with close friends. typically hates being alone.

maybe because he is so sociable, he loves team sports and hence has joined both the volleyball team and the quidditch team, though he gets really competitive and ends up taking both sports a tad bit too seriously sometimes. might be a bite of a sore loser.

he will take everything personally. everything. and if he feels he is being treated differently than anyone else he will assume you have a problem with him and will either act passive agressive with you until he figures out just what it is, or straight out avoid you and the problem. he also hates being ignored and can get very annoying and petty when things do not go his way.

due to not only his past but also his interests, kyle is pretty obsessed with magic. he wants to learn and research about all the species but especially witches and other warlocks. kyle wants to learn how to max out his own powers and maybe even learn new things and hence why the choice for his classes. as for dark arts, one of the things that interest him the most, even more than power growth, it is death.

it was in his search about death, possible ressurection, how to communicate with the dead and similar topics that he came accross a method to gain powers and through a pact with a demon he was able to become a warlock.
before this, he had been too scared to join the institute in fear of not fitting in due to his lack of abilities and so he had simply ignored his later, but with his new found powers, he finally decided to sign up as it seemed like the perfect place to deepen his knowledge on the topics he procured.

thanks to his curiousity and his extrovert trait, he can easily be found striking up conversation with random people, asking possibly invasive questions about their own species, powers and weaknesses. he is not only very easy to upset but will also very easily upset, but as long as you can handle that, he is a pretty good friend.

when he gets too focused on his past, his family, and how to communicate with them, he will easily spiral into a weird twisted mood and start to become very negative and at times even rude, contrary to his usual very positive and bright self.

All that aside, he has a secret part of himself that no one knows about and on the internet, this secret is known under the name of 'deluxe magician'. an alias that earns him a bit of money in exchange for custom made videos or pictures.

random fact about him? he likes to set stuff on fire when he's upset. another random fact? plays league of legends. started by playing only lux, but currently alternates between her and brand for the simple fact that he is a fire mage and he likes the irony of the champions.

kyle was initially born as a human with no magic at all aside from the remains of mythical energy he'd gotten from his mother's ancestors. his father on the other hand was what most called an 'outsider'. he owned no mythical energy at all and hence this watered down on kyle's own energy as well. his older sister had managed to gain some of his mother's light healing powers, but kyle had gotten none.

because of this, Ever since young, he was deeply interested in magic as he didn't fully possess any type of special power. his presence among all the strong species was incredibly weak and he envied most of them, always doing his own research and looking to learn about anything and everything he could find relating to the other species and their abilities. but it wasn't until later in life that he actually got serious about it and found a way to get some powers of his own.

during his childhood he lived with his parents and older sister but was raised mostly by the females in the house, his father, a rather weak human with absolutely no connection to the magic world aside from his wife. the man always seemed pretty disappointed and frustrated with his own life but nothing young kyle could understand at his age. for the longest time, he would simply think his father was not much different than him. he could not have been more wrong. the disappointment and frustration later turned into rage and violence directed at his mother and later on at his older sister as well, as the girl attempted to protect the older woman.

kyle did not notice this at first, in fact, it took him a rather long time to realize it. as more time passed, his father got worse, eventually murdering both the girls in a fit of rage while kyle showered. in his blinded state, the man had then gotten in the bathroom and attempted to drown the young boy as well but soon came to regret it and let the boy go, laying the unconscious child on the his bed only to lie to him the next morning once he woke up.

for most of his teen years, his father managed to keep his lie up and kyle was convinced that his mother and sister had been murdered by some other creature while he watched, which had been what made him pass out with his father finding him only once he arrived home from work. the boy hadn't seen the gaps in the story, the trauma covering up for his father all too well and making him believe the drowning memory to have been a nightmare from his passed out state.

he was convinced the killer of his family was still somewhere around roaming freely, while the people responsible for law and justice did nothing to stop the criminal. but he later came to find out they had always been working on the down low. with the lack of evidence they wouldn't have been able to accuse anyone just yet, and if they brought up their suspicions, the man might flee and mess up the investigation. so in order to aid the case, they allowed the man to keep kyle and go on with his life as they collected the evidence they would need to close the case. a bit twisted if you asked him, but it seemed to work, as the suspect and convicted murderer, who had been none other than his father, was finally sentenced. the situation reminding kyle of just how real the whole night had truly been.

his strong desire to see and talk to his mother and sister once again was what got him researching like crazy about magic. dark magic to be more precise. anything that connected him to the dead, that could help him see them or talk to them once again, and that's how he eventually came to find the possibility of being given powers and made into a warlock. now he just had to find a creature, most usually a demon, who'd be willing to make a pact with him.
