I prefer 3rd pov, and I try to mirror most of the time! I can't always promise a exact mirror of lines and whatnot, and I don't mind if your reply is shorter either. Just so long as its more than just a few sentences!

After fighting against another warlock and losing the battle, Seonghwa found himself waking up with a heart that no longer beat, and with a thirst for blood. It took him a long time, but he eventually found balance between his life as a warlock and a vampire. He had always been dutiful to the deity from whom he had gained his powers from, and he was lucky that his powers stayed with him even after such a traumatic change. He spent about another fifty years in Korea before making his way to Lunaria, having received a message from the moon and stars on fateful night. He's been at Lunaria for the past couple of centuries, and has been teaching at Mystiq for the fifty years. He's been going by the name Vesper ever since moving to Lunaria as well, though he still uses Seonghwa from time to time when speaking with those who speak Korean.

Vesper's family died long before he became a vampire, and around the time he became a warlock. He had an older brother, an older sister, a mother and a father, all of whom eventually passed away from old age or disease. Their deaths were perhaps the reason why he turned to the powers above.

As for his education, he has had a couple of mentors in his earlier years, but he has always been a quick learner. He travelled around, meeting humans and non-humans alike. He became the Interspecies Anatomy teacher after gathering knowledge from everything he has learnt throughout his life - both theoretically and from personal experience.

Shadow Magic (his whole eye turns dark grey, almost black): He can travel through shadows and create illusions (he rarely uses the latter). 
Lunar and Celestial Magic (his whole eye turns a shimmery off white like the moon): He draws power from the Moon and Stars which ultimately helps him to fuel his magic. His abilities using this energy include: Aura reading, Shielding and Blasting, Healing.
