chapter one.

Growing up in a less than happy household, Yeonjun sought out the fables and whispers about the mysterious odd-eyed cat in a part of the city no one dared go. Yeonjun didn't have parents who cared enough to stop him from going, he barely had present parents and when they saw him they were cruel.

On a particularly bad night the boy left home, running and pretending he was on an adventure, coming across the wooded area he'd heard the cat was meant to be. Yeonjun got what he'd hoped for, the adventure of a lifetime.

The boy who had left one nightmare behind ran into another, one that would be cut short. Once touched by the entity, Yeonjun found huge horns growing from his head. in pain, screaming and crying through the agony of it all until finally, finally it stopped and the land was quiet.

Found by someone kind enough to help him hide before the cat could do more, yeonjun established a connection with this person and considered them his first real friend. over time they found more people cursed by the entity and brought them in, helping them as best they could and forming a group.

Unfortunately the government found them sooner or later and ran their tests on the group, making their numbers dwindle as some did not survive. even after this, they told them their powers were not useful for their needs and discarded the group to cells, left to rot.

Intent on exposing what the government is doing behind the scenes, yeonjun managed to escape with the group and find his friend, forced to move constantly so they wouldn't be captured again....

chapter two.

For a time life was peaceful, though hard because of the landscape they lived in, they manged to make it. But... something had changed in Yeonjun, after those tests, after seeing what happened and secretly having been tormented by the cat whenever night fell, Yeonjun was losing himself.

ONE MORNING HIS FRIEND AWOKE TO NOT THE CHORUS OF HELLOS HE WAS USED TO BUT AN EERIE SILENCE. yEONJUN WAS fast asleep but they weren't alone. there THE BODIES OF THEIR FRIENDS lay, GROWN COLD AS THEIR LIVES HAD BEEN SNUFFED OUT IN THE NIGHT.

it seemed to all point to Yeonjun, his friend knew he hadn't done it himself, so it had to be yeonjun, right? the cat whispered it to him, told him, it was yeonjun, it was the cursed prince with his heavy crown.

Before he could even defend himself or comprehend what was happening, Yeonjun found himself awaking to choking on his own blood. One of his horns snapped off and plunged into his chest, his friend's hands shaking as he held the other end. Not a word was passed between the two before there was now only one left.

More time has passed since and the land quiet once again, except there have been more cursed individuals showing up. Flocking together with yeonjun's old friend they don't know the horrors of the first group and he hopes history won't repeat itself.

But how does he explain his best friend seemingly rising from the dead and showing up one evening?

How does he explain this is not the smile of choi yeonjun.
