Once upon a time Lee Dongwook was just a human man who dedicated his life to the church. Those around him would describe the priest as kind, upright and sensible; truly a man of God. He began his studies to become a member of the clergy when he was young, and was ordained at the age of 26, being officially instated at a cathedral on the outskirts of a bustling town. For the next fourteen years Dongwook would hold masses, funerals, weddings and more. He made a point to preach about treating others well, and keeping faith.

But of course, this did not last forever.

It was a dark and stormy late summer evening when Dongwook’s life was irrevocably changed. The cathedral had been empty, save for the priest, who had been putting out the candles from a late night mass. Over the din of the rain he heard the door to the confessional slide open and closed. It was his duty to listen to the sins of his people, so Dongwook had entered the other side of the confessional intending to talk with the lost lamb. 

“Forgive me Father, for I have sinned…”

Dongwook remembers every detail of the night he was reborn. The echoing thunder, the void of shadows; the tearing of fangs in his neck as he was cornered within the booth, made to absorb every sin of the vampire as they drank from him like his blood was wine. He burned from the inside as the venom took hold, turning every human part of him to ashes.

Something in Dongwook changed that night. Not just his status of being reborn into a creature of the undead; his very belief in his God had been altered intrinsically. It started out slow, little changes here and there, but over the years his mind has developed an entirely new religion, one that speaks of angels and death and fangs and blood.

He has carried this belief with him over the centuries, searching for what he considers his true calling: to find the Anti-Christ and facilitate the end times. He does not care for humans or vampires, or any other creatures for that matter. Dongwook’s only goal is to fulfill what he believes to be his purpose. For that same reason he eventually came to work here at the Blood Farm, taking up a position as their resident chaplain in the facility’s chapel. He claims that he has received a vision that this is where he will find his Anti-Christ, and once he does he will stop at nothing to ensure that they achieve their destined role.

— He has cross marks on the insides of his palms, the tops of his feet, over his sternum & the back of his neck. These are self-inflicted burns that have been created using a small cross made out of pure silver. This is from a period of time where Dongwook believed that he needed a physical depiction of his faith on his body, and so he repeatedly burned himself until the marks no longer healed. He does not practice this anymore, but the marks still remain. 

— The "religion" that Dongwook believes in is a blasphemous retelling of Catholicism created by his own delusional mind. Some key points of this belief include: God is a vampire with omniscient abilities and is much older than the universe itself. The vampire currently living on Earth are bastard/false versions of true vampires, such as God and his angels. (Dongwook believes he is also one of these false vampires.) The Anti-Christ is the being that will facilitate the start of the end of the world, also known as Armageddon. When this event is triggered wars will once again break out all across the Earth, and the major war will take place between the Earth and Heaven. (Dongwook believes that his purpose is to find this Anti-Christ and prepare them for this duty.) His belief is that when Armageddon arrives blood will rain down and bathe the chosen ones in red; stars will fall, the moon will break in half, oceans will freeze and animals will die. (He knows that it will be beautiful, it will be awe-inspiring.)

— Although Dongwook's beliefs are much different from others, he does preach about actual Catholicism when working in the chapel. Only a select few are privy to his true beliefs. 

— Dongwook hates pears. No reason he just hates them. 

— He actually rarely ever feeds directly from humans, and most of his blood comes from indirect donation through blood bags. This is because Dongwook only feeds from potential anti-christ candidates.

— Speaking of anti-christ candidates, Dongwook does not know for sure who exactly is his supposed anti-christ. Because of this, he has started to create a group of candidates that he feels could potentially be the anti-christ. He intends to put these people through tests to decide if they are the one he's looking for or not. Whether they want to take these tests or not won't make a difference to him. 

— On a more Out of Character note, although Dongwook is described as "aromantic" (and it is true), it's more so because I don't think he's capable of real, actual love. Instead, I think his affection would be more along the lines of obsession and possession. His "love" disregards most of what his partner wants/needs, because he wants to keep them to himself, using whatever means necessary. (However, this is, unless, that person or persons can figure out how to put him in his place. I'm sure that whoever he becomes obsessed with, if they have the right personality, could easily turn his obsession into a warped version of worship and reverence. They would have him eating out of the palm of their hand, kneeling before them at their beck and call, not above begging for their attention.)

— On another Out of Character note, he's pathetic! Pathetic I tell you!!!!

you are just one of the few people that dongwook currently believes could be the anti-christ that he is looking for. this is either a relatively new development that you are unaware of, or you've been stuck in his grasp for awhile now, dealing with the priest's insane beliefs and his strange tests.

out of all the potential anti-christ candidates that dongwook is looking over, you are the one that he is most enamoured with. there's just something about you that almost convinces him that you are the true one, his life's purpose, the being to finally put an end to this wretched planet. how do you deal with his constant attention? his unfounded belief in your supposed greatness? does it scare you, does it go to your head?

whether you believe in god or not does not matter. you feel guilty enough about something that you feel the need to go to confession at the chapel, where dongwook is waiting with open arms. however, upon confessing your supposed sins, you find the priest's reaction to be... strange. is he not supposed to say that you are forgiven and absolved? why is he suggesting that what you did, perhaps, wasn't that wrong in the first place? (why does it sound like he's suggesting you do it again?)

as dongwook's belief is fashioned purely from his own mind those beliefs are also subject to change and mutate at any time. recently he has begun to question whether or not he is supposed to carry out his mission alone, or if you are the missing puzzle piece to help him. eventually, it seems your word starts to sway him much more than any holy text or delusional thought could. without even lifting a finger, you have a power over him that dongwook wouldn't wish to grant anyone but you.
