Background: At first glance, he's what most people would expect of a chaebol. His aura just exudes elite and untouchable and it's been that way ever since he was born. For many generations, his family has owned and worked under SonSon, their family company that owns businesses and stocks in many different branches of the corporate world. That being said, Dongju and his twin brother Dongmyeong grew up with not just silver spoons but gold ones. The door was open for them to try any and everything they wanted, leaving Dongju with various levels of knowledge in a number of different fields. Over the years, he's questioned a number of times how he could fit into the corporate side of his family's business, even though he's grown up in it and now sits as the marketing director over their storefront and mall endeavors.

Only people that have to meet with either him or his brother, the current chairman-in-training of SonSon, know what the twins look like, let alone their names. That's how they know it was an inside job when there was an attempted kidnapping of the twins. Dongju had been on his way to meet his brother for dinner. Thankfully, Dongmyeong had a guard with him that evening who was able to stop the assult. Dongju, on the other hand, had a different story. He'd ended up waking bound and gagged in a room he'd never seen before. He was taken to be held for ransom, though he'd also been beaten quite badly. Dongju was saved by chance when someone people kept referring to as the Dragon had arrived. This Dragon had a score to settle with Dongju's captors and, although he was a a gangster himself, he still held rules. One of thsoe rules was to keep innocents out of the equation, and Dongju was undeniably an innocent. Although Dongju had been injured and apparently drugged when they first met, he became unintentional acquaintances with Dragon, eventually evolving into a friendship that neither of them expected. Despite him being in the healing process, he took care of Hanse both out of gratitude and Dongju's innate need and desire to care for others.

Dongju eventually returned home, and to a very warm welcome from his family. He started to make sure he was keeping in touch with Hanse and checking on him when he could. That included him even evading his own guards sometimes to go visit Hanse. It got to a point where Hanse would send guards to bring Dongju to him so he wouldn't have to worry about the other getting hurt. Finding themselves growing fond of and attached to one another, Dongju became Hanse's assistant for things outside of the gang world. Dongju works with Hanse's bodyguard, Subin, on a lot of occasions, feeling as though he's one half of a parent team to make sure Hanse is taking care of himself.
