background...
San isn't yet a full-fledged dragon and is waiting to hit his 1,000-year birthday to become one.
Thankfully, that's not too far away.
Much like an imugi of legend, San lives in a deep mountain pond.
Or at least he once did.
From time to time, he has explored beyond his hidden home, but the last time ended up with him on a coast where, while in his dragon form, he was caught by fishermen and brought on land. When the fishermen tried to report what they found, he shifted into his human form, resulting in him being set free. He used the chance to escape but, having no clue where to go, he ended up on an island he was sure was even further from home; the island was like a beckoning call to a lost dragon in the middle of the night. He hasn't a clue where he is and is still trying to learn this new land even though he's been here for a couple of months now. Never before having ended up this far from his home in the mountains, he feels lost and out of place, especially since he isn't used to interacting with other living beings. San is now forced to try and find his place among those that dwell on this island and survive until his 1,000th birthday so that he can become a full-fledged dragon and maybe finally find his way home.
As an imugi, he just wants nothing more than to receive the powers that are rightfully his. Because of his age, not only does he not have his powers, but he also doesn't have his flight ability when he shifts into his dragon form.
In his dragon form, his body is entirely light blue, almost appearing to be white, with white eyes. He has claws with opposable thumbs and a serpent-like body and tail. if he were to whip his tail, it could easily clear trails in a forest.
He does have the ability to be in a half-form, where he can have all or some of his dragon features: his tail, the bright white color of his eyes in dragon form, pointed ears, fangs, and claws. Regardless of what form he's in, he has inhuman strength, speed, and hearing.
feeling as lost as he does puts his perspective of others in a shaded light. he's not the best at interacting, especially since he can only speak broken versions of other languages. the only language that he's fluent in is very specific to his kind and even more so where he was born. from what he's learned, most people tend to refer to it as "the tongue of the mountain water," in some form or fashion. although he is a writer, because of his lack of fluency in more common tongues, he is considered illiterate to most.
