⌜❁♫⌟ i've been thinking about my father lately; the person that he made me
overlooked and overshadowed, gayoung spent her whole childhood what went wrong in her birth.
was it because she was female, a middle-child - or was it because she was mild-mannered, the meek one, the child who never achieved more than the general populace? gayoung supposes that it has something to do with being raised by parents who dabbled in business, who mingled with high society, whose personalities were stronger than their daily cups of coffee. perhaps, it was also because her brothers were much like them - the overachieving types, the types who never backed down in a fight. it's a wonder how gayoung grew up the opposite and much to her family's chagrin, even strayed away from the path that was decided for her from the start, has pursued her passion for writing and photography.
currently, gayoung lives in yeongwon, in a small apartment near the shopping district. it's been a good two years since she's arrived in town after having been lost on her way to a jeju resort. it was her clumsiness that has brought her there. however, it was her impulsivity and love for a peaceful life that has made her decided to stay.
life before yeongwon: after leaving her childhood home, gayoung spent a good year crashing in with her friends in downtown seoul. she has had no issues with them whatsoever but has since developed quite a few habits that stray away from the fancy life she's been raised in.
her relationship with her family: gayoung is very distant with her parents and somehow, is also the same with her siblings. she does not bear any ill-feelings towards the boys for she understood that her parents might have influenced them somehow. however, she still wishes that they may reconnect someday without the prejudice that has been engraved into their minds by her family.
