Growing up as one of the royalties of the house of the dragons, the targaryens. Taeyeon was just a normal and adventurous princess, she would help her dear mother to choose what fabric that would suit for them and what jewelry would be perfect for each day. Seeing her father was the king of seven kingdoms, she could easily do what she wanted but taeyeon knows it would be bad if she has everything when people outside king's landing has nothing, she has friends from outside the red keep, sneaking through the old walls to play with them and sometimes go through the barren outside of the king's landing. With her shimmering silver hair, her friends had to make her wear a hood for them to not notice that she's a targaryen.

However, that didn't took long when one of her older siblings took notice of her outgoing attitude that they found out that taeyeon has been sneaking out of the keep for all she cares and wanting to play with the other children. This made their father mad and locked taeyeon in her room and only lets her out when it is her meal time with their family. They can't blame her for being too outgoing since she was only nine summers and still very young to see what real world can be.

That didn't take long though, as soon as she reached at her tenth summer, chaos ensued, soldiers marching through the keep and made her, her younger siblings and their mother to evacuate through the sewers of the keep where the loyalists waiting for them to take off to essos as king's landing is no safe place for them anymore. Their older brother, took Taeyeon as she is the last one to get aboard before arrows starts shooting at him. She was horrified and tries to hold onto her fallen brother but it was too late, they were the victims of the massacre. Their father, murdered at his throne, some of her older siblings, beheaded and stick their heads to the  pike it was gruesome and this traumatized taeyeon forever.

As they arrived in essos, they were as though got back where they originally came from. The old valeria, the land where targaryens once lived. Living in essos at first, thought that taeyeon could go freely and safely but her mother forbids her not to go far this time as essos is a dangerous place for them, dothrakis, the masters and the mercenaries are mostly are the dangerous people that they have to avoid. Because of what happened to their house, Taeyeon, for the first time, had a courage to talk back to her mother and her remaining siblings. Taeyeon was tired of being told what to do because she's a girl, she wants to make a difference. Not all girls gets to be prim and proper, they need to fight and show that they can do what men can do. But her mother is now in charge of them and dismissed taeyeon's remarks, that was the last straw of her before she fled from their house. However, taeyeon took the smallest dragon egg, which her house had saved all of the remaining dragon eggs.

During her travels, taeyeon got hungry as her food already been eaten within her travels and decides to get the dragon egg and starts to make a fire of it. The little taeyeon doesn't know that dragon eggs are very unique when hatching, they need fire for it to hatch and that's what she did. She almost shrieked when the egg hatched and saw a beautiful baby dragon in her lap, looking at it as his mother. Taeyeon was moved by it and took the dragon with her as he became her companion throughout the travels, eventually naming him, Raegerys. until she got to braavos, one of the free city of essos and that's where she stayed.

Visions starts to take place during her sleep, the future she didn't want to see, the future she never wanted to happen. It always made her sleepless and don't know when will be the visions to act up again. she was scared and the only thing she has right now is raegerys. With the help of a mysterious man, she was taught to meditate instead of sleep, in which she eventually became her routine. She doesn't sleep, instead she meditated peacefully so no visions would get into her mind again.

She became a thief and later adopted by the faceless men, an assassin guild where she was fed and took shelter. Later, at her fifteenth summer, she started training. To become a faceless men, they must relinquish their former identity into "no one". It took her to realize that being a targaryen, is not all about being one with the dragon, it is the epitome of madness. She striped down her identity being a targaryen and trains hard until she could master in handling blades and bows. she was then tasked to kill the men on their list, at first she didn't kill them swiftly but then she starts planning before she gets to kill the target. 

By her twenty-fifth summer, she starts to realize that all the trainings and the ideals of the faceless men is only to kill only for the many-face god, they had no purpose, only to worship their god. That's what taeyeon had realized for over a decade of her being under their abode. Then she sees her father's brooch in her things and which reminded her, her family. Where are her mother and her siblings now? She didn't think any further and left the guild and starts to travel once again, but this time, she already had a list of names she is aiming to kill. The ones who murdered her father, conspired against her brothers and sisters and made them leave westeros to take the iron throne. All of it are there. Raegerys became a fully grown black dragon and Taeyeon starts riding on him as they travel.

At her thirty-fifth summer, most people of essos had already called her the black dragon. Taeyeon had learned everything she needed to kill specific persons on her list, she had took faces and put it on as a disguise just like what the faceless men did. No one knows her face as she can be any person she had killed. She came back to Essos after a year of traveling to westeros, taking a break on killing the people in her list as she heard about her little brother, jeno, is freeing the people of essos from the clutches of the masters. She disguised herself as a normal person, following her little brother from the shadows, helping him and killing those people who will threaten his life.

However, she already knows that being a targaryen can be prone to madness. She starts to recollect what had happened for a decade and starts to realized that she's not who she think she is. Something's lingering within her, the real dragon, the madness, the one who terrorizes people. The more she avoid sleeping, the stronger her alter ego can be, that's what she's trying to figure out for herself without involving anyone at her own problem. She fears of her own house if ever she became irredeemable and unhinged dragon she could be.
