brief bio: having been an avid fan of military, he knew what he wanted and enlisted way earlier than his peers at the age of 18, joining the korean army and excelling through training, then participating in various tactical missions. it was during one of his leaves that he met the love of his life, and everything progressed really fast, getting married, her getting pregnant, before he had to leave for a 6-month long mission out of the country once again. what he didn't expect was on the day of his arrival back to the country would coincide with the day of his wife's accident as she rushed to meet him, and despite various efforts, doctors were not able to save his wife but instead, the baby, and hence, the birthday of his only daughter, lee eunchae, would also be the death anniversary of his wife. he fell into a slump, into depression, got discharged from the army honourably, with eunchae being the only light that shone in his dark world. her bubbly smile pulled him out from the grasps of the shadows, and he started juggling studies to become a teacher, to take care of eunchae as well as other children as he believed that only the pureness of their smiles could supress the sadness and longing he still had for his wife.
