Once upon a time, there was a clan of prestigious warriors residing in Marteria Highlands. They were once hailed as the heroes of one town, Kirstein clan were the proudest of bunch. They were loyal to the people of Hansel, their town where they they grew. They were good at what they are doing, protecting their people from invaders and raiders.

Many years later, the matriarch of Kirstein clan gave birth to a bastard baby girl named Erika, despite the rumors surrounding the questioning of the girl's lineage, her mother kept her as the second born child. The rest of the family thought Erika will inherit nothing but the blood running through her veins but her mother made sure she had something to learn and grow.

At a young age, her mother discovered Erika's skill of sharpshooting, she trained her to use bow and arrows and how to use guns by the age of 10. Erika was also fond of writing and reading, she learned to adapt by reading books but was not granted the same education as her older brother who is the heir to the Kirstein clan. She reads in secret as her other relatives treated her like an outsider, despite her mother and her brother cared for her.

However, at the age of 15, she encountered a horific event in her life. The travelling circus came into their time to held shows, turned out to be vampires in disguise. That night, Erika was sleeping inside the cupboard under the stairs, when she heard footsteps running faster than normal people. Erika peeked through the window and saw vampires slaughtering her own family. They were hungry and bloiodthirsty vampires. Erika ran to her mother's room and saw that she was already gone, however, her brother is fighting against one of the vampires. Erika ran towards her brother but it was too late, he was swarmed by other vampires.

With intense shock, she couldn't move... Her family, all gone... until one vampire bite her by the neck and her blood, she thought she would die along with her family... However, her blood is special...

The vampire that bit her burst into flames, the other vampires witnessed that their fellow vampire burned to ashes. Erika stood up and her eyes flashed with fiery colors of fire!

The vampires knew the fiery witch exists... in a form of a human girl!

They ran away, fearing the flames that the fiery witch will do to them and never be seen again. Erika fell unconscious and when the dawn breaks, the Kirstein clan have fallen, Erika disappeared without a trace and they thought she is the cause of all of it...

Years had passed since the incident, a female mercenary that was rumored to live in the town of Hansel in Marteria Highlands surfaced as if someone came back from the grave. She called herself the Celica, people called her the Flamehaze because of her use of pyromancy (which she often use on defeating vampires). She was often seen having a blonde hair, scarlet eyes, wearing the typical bounty hunter outfit, holding a bolf action rifle, two revolvers and a steel katana. 

But in Central, she is living a normal working life. Her name is Kim Taeyeon, a writer from The Ivory Press. She is mostly seen wearing comfy clothes, wearing eyeglasses, brunette hair, always feeling sleepy but she writes fine reports of what is currently happening in Heleo for the newspapers.

Most of the people in Heleo don't know her double life, they either know her just as Celica the Flamehaze or as Kim Taeyeon. The secret is, she is Erika Kirstein.
