•.*★ chapter one。
Born into a wealthy family, anything that Dahyun desired was well within her reach and all she had to do was take it with a tight hold. This was something that her mother explained early on - only by being part of this family was she strong and powerful enough to do so. It was small things at first like cute toys and games, piano lessons, and even a pet bunny. But as she grew, so did her responsibilities to the family and it began with her prestigious schooling - excellent grades, top rankings, and various other scholarly pursuits. Dahyun saw it as an even exchange given the rewards for her efforts - designer clothes, expensive jewelry, and luxurious trips.
This was how her family functioned from the very beginning with the marriage of her parents. At the time, her father was the second son of an old and wealthy family known for their hospitals and producing generations of doctors and surgeons. Her mother was making waves as a successful lawyer with plans to enter the political sphere but lacking the necessary background to carve her own space in the world. This was, by all accounts, an ideal marriage and it proved to be fruitful with her mother currently serving in the national assembly. As for her father, he worked as a surgeon for more than a decade before taking the director position at one of the family hospitals.
While her parents were busy working, Dahyun enjoyed the years that followed to their fullest with drugs, alcohol and parties. As long as she stayed out of the spotlight and out of her mother's way, it was enough. But still, Dahyun ensured that she came out of university at the top of her year with a harmless business degree. When the time came for her parents to ask what was next, she knew that there was only one path left for her. Her mother smiled, almost amused and granted her the permission to study to become a lawyer, whether she got to finish would depend entirely on timing.
•.*★ chapter two。
It was no secret that wealthy families preferred their daughter-in-laws with minimal education and simple careers at best. Her mother was the head of the family with aspirations only growing higher and higher. So, this time Dahyun was quieter and patient, finishing law school in the shortest time possible. On her breaks, she worked as a paralegal in the businesses of family friends and that's when her opportunity came.
At a critical juncture during her mother's political campaign, Dahyun called in a couple of favors to expose the tax fraud of a family friend's company tied to a political opponent. It created a huge scandal that sunk their polling results and buried the investigation into her mother's campaign. Family comes first, Dahyun promised her mother and it was true, she burned bridges to ensure their family came out unscathed at the very top.
In return for the favor, her mother freed her for the time being of her obligations and a likely engagement in the works. The move to Dandelion was reminiscent of her time spent in law school, Dahyun planned to live quietly and study for the bar exam with her borrowed time. Maybe pick up a part-time job for fun or revive old hobbies to fill the time.
Dahyun prefers her solitude with a good book and a smoke, while company was a constant in her life that she adapted to. Naturally, she is both friendly and approachable, often found with a pleasant smile on her face. Due to being in the public eye, Dahyun holds on to her perfect daughter image with top grades, clean reputation, and a strong social circle among the wealthy. At times, she can be spoiled, selfish and arrogant, well aware of her family's power and wealth.
These were traits displayed in her younger years at private parties, where she did drugs and got drunk, habits that stuck into her adulthood - smoking and drinking. As an adult, Dahyun is adept at keeping business and personal affairs completely separate, only struggling when it comes to her values with family. Ultimately, the choice will always be the same - family first. For that reason alone, she intends to enjoy her vacation to the fullest before resuming her duties to her family.

•.*★ connections。 00 / 10.
•.*★ important。 I use the pronouns she/her and feel free to call me by my charcter name. I am gmt-5 and 21+ open to mature themes/plots. Please make sure to read my character's information and then feel free to send a message in my pms. I am also open to random starters.
•.*★ writing style。 I do tend to mirror, and for length, para or multipara, if i feel inspired, with 3rd pov mainly but 1st pov works too.
•.*★ plotting style。 I prefer plotting over winging, but I will defintely reply to a random open starter. I always try to have an idea in mind when I ask to rp and I love brainstorming with other people. I am open to any and all ideas, so feel free to chat before, during or after rp.
I don't mind writing starters, especially if I was the one to ask. As long as I have enough of information, I can definitely make it work but it does take time, so keep it in mind.
•.*★ overall。 I'm very open to different plot and connections, I especially like establishing a past between our characters. My pms are always open, so feel free to let me know about any issues and I have no problem dropping threads or starting new ones entirely.
•.*★ important。 I don't mind a poke or reminder after 5-7 days at the very minimum. I will never poke others and just assume the thread was dropped after two weeks or more. The lines of commnication are always open.
I have no set time that I am online (gmt -5) and can be slow on replies, since I am busy ooc and work on them throughout the day. I will let you know if I am busy or unable to reply actively and I expect the same treatment in return with no hard feelings.
I like to use rooms over walls, so let's keep the roleplay active. Please make sure to use the appropriate rooms and trigger warnings when necessary. I use pms for plotting and ooc discussions, so feel free to approach me there,
•.*★ scenario。 smoking is bad for you.
m/f, any age, no specific genre...
Dahyun has vices like any other human being and among them is smoking and drinking. Often, all she could feel was the heavy weight of her family name and with everyone leaving her, she felt alone. It took the edge off and these days, she needed it more than ever. You see her hesitate, then light up a second cigarette and decide to say something.
•.*★ scenario。 you forgot something.
m/f, any age, no specific genre...
On the same day every week, Dahyun takes a trip to the park and paints slowly for a couple of hours. The strangest thing is that she does not paint the view in front of her, instead she paints the different places she's been to around the world. This time you recognize the place she's painting and decide to remind her of a detail, seeing her struggle to recall it.
•.*★ scenario。 how about some lunch?
m/f, any age, no specific genre...
Dahyun is a regular at the farmer's market and a quick shopper, often seen well-dressed with her list at the ready. Today was not one of those days, she was late and her hair was up in a messy bun with a hangover cure in hand instead. The market was busy and she hadn't eaten, so she was not in a happy mood. The two of you would often chat while shopping and seeing that it's been a difficult day for her, you invite her to lunch.
•.*★ scenario。 desired connection.
