gikwang was born in poverty but maintained a sense of resilience by doing his best at school. after finishing high school he didn't have the means to attend college, so he remained in his hometown nearby dandelion where the lower-income people would commute into the city. he soon fell in love with a classmate from high school and had 2 children with her, yet they seperated without being married. his ex requires gikwang to pay child support of which is out of his means in order to visit his children, so he joined a gang and makes enough money by stealing and giving the items to his ex to resell. however, she still doesn't allow him to see the children since she is afraid of the gang yet still accepts the items given to her since she needs money as much as gikwang. 

connection 1: another person from same gang mistakenly involves themselves in gikwang's biggest heist: stealing an expensive motorcycle, and chaos ensues. can choose an angsty or comedic route. connection 2: a person from another gang visits gikwang's repair shop when his kids are visiting, and gikwang'll make sure the rival gang member will regret it. connection 3: gikwang has broken into your house/workplace, and you catch him in the act. can similarly be an angst/comedic route depending on other character's personality.
