❛ growing up as a child, the publishing house was all Adrian had ever known. His parents, or more specifically, his father had made it his mission to drill the significance of it into his and his brother’s head shortly after Adrian was born, having taken over the role of CEO from his grandfather. It had, as sad as it was to admit, become the core part of the Songs since the establishment — a key factor that moulded his father’s, grandfather’s (and those who lived before them) being. It would, too, shape him to become the person they were — or at least his brother who [his father likes to boast] would take over the family business once he was ready.

📘 what would it take to see your pretty smile in person?
if there is one thing that Adrian has learnt from his family growing up, it is: the Songs don’t quit. Accepting failure wasn’t in their dictionary, always putting their heart and soul into whatever they had it mind. it’s probably why the Songs’ Publishing House still remained in tact over the several decades. So when Adrian stumbled across you one too many times, he couldn’t help but feel intrigued. There was just something about you that held his attention: was it the way you held yourself? the way you interacted with those around you? or was it the smile — soft, filled with warmth smile? Approaching you was never the question, given the sweaty hands and clash of words so he stuck to what he thought best. leaving little notes introducing himself.

        📘 hi my name is...
when eating alone sounds good in the moment but the world has other plans. It’s one of those moments where Adrian decides to spend time in his own presence after a tough day at work and the lack of acknowledgement from his father. He finds a sweet little place nearby, lively and full of people; in a one-off chance, he finds himself lucky when the staffs find him an unoccupied table. But wait… why is the waitress walking towards him, a sheepish look on her face with you trailing behind quietly. he should’ve said yes when the waitress asked if he’d mind sharing a table with another stranger [it was supposed to be his time] but for some reason, he says no. now here you are, sitting face to face awkwardly with menus in hand.
