@huh yunjin. here we go -
actually, i'm not too sure where to start, so i guess i can start with a hypothetical question. have you ever met someone and have gotten completely lost in them? just by looking at that person, you can imagine an entire future with them? i'm not exactly talking about "love at first sight", but i am talking about those people whose souls are immensely tangled up with our own. the type of people we meet and makes us wonder if we knew them in our past lives.

i've always been really self-conscious about timing and getting things just right. right time this, right time that. by always thinking this way for a very, very long time i've missed out on a lot of opportunities; just as missing the chance to get close to those people i mentioned formerly. and honestly, that . missed opportunities, the type of missed connections that keep you up at night, has you wondering "what if i had spoken up earlier? quicker? would we have had something? been friends, at least?" to me, i feel like you're one of those people i was destined to meet. some things aren't random occurrences brought forth by our chaotic universe; sometimes, meeting people is something that is always meant to happen, no matter how long it takes to meet each other.

which is why when i met you and i felt the possibility that we could be something - friends, lovers, god knows what else - i didn't want to experience living through a missed opportunity with you. i knew that it was you, the person i've been waiting for. i knew that it was you, the person i've been dreaming about. in fact, my dream girl doesn't even come close to how breathtaking you are. your intelligence, your talent, your humor, your beauty, the way you carry yourself, how you speak to others with so much ease. you're like a river that flows through us all, embracing us with your lukewarm currents, making friends and connections like you were born for this life. i admire this about you. i look up to you because of this.

most importantly, you're someone i want to reach, stand next to with confidence, and make you proud that i'm the one that's by your side. i don't want "us" to be a missed connection. i want to be a part of your stream, be covered and surrounded by you at all times. i want to be a part of your life until there's no more life to give, no more life to live through. i want to belong to you, no one else. i think that even if you had been someone else, with a different name, nationality, and face, i would have fallen for you. call me crazy, but i have fallen for your spirit, yunjin.

she’s the embodiment of winter. the type of beauty that sends a chill down your spine, and gets you eager for what’s to come next. she’s just… a goddess. that’s her nature; perfectly encapsulates the season where you want to spend your days with your loved ones, stay cuddled up next to a fire place, share the present with each other, make beautiful memories together. she’s the colorful city lights - the greens, blues, and reds - of the season that blend into each other and make the reflection of the cityscape look absolutely magical, like you walked into a new universe, one where magic really does exist. that’s jinnie. she’s breathtaking. the most beautiful, hopeful season i know. the one filled with the most amount of love. the type of love that slowly creeps in and finds its way to you, finding purchase all around you and settling into your bones. that’s her. and i really, really love her. a lot more than i can express with pretty words.
