LAST OF HER FAMILY.

Long ago, the ever proud Kang family are the most honorable and valiant family in Orenda and in Illias. They were a family of oriental monks from the east and traveled their way to Illias to teach outsiders about their tradition and culture, they usually meditate and practice Shaolin martial arts, their oldest fighting style and they wanted to share it with outsiders especially from people of Illias. But in Illias, witches exist and most of them don't need their tradition and culture to be passed on in the next generations until one family of witches wishes to learn the ways of being a monk. For generations, their ways changed over time until Seulgi was born.

Seulgi grew up with her monk father and her witch mother, she is the eldest of seven children and the most gifted in Shaolin martial arts. Her father was proud of her while her mother was waiting for her powers to bloom as her father never gained any witch powers in his youth and she was hoping that her powers would resurface quickly. Seulgi was a very courteous and very kind girl, she usually helps people around Illias.

However, on her 18th birthday, Seulgi's power resurfaced but without hurting her other sibling. Her happiest day turned darkest when they brought her to their dojo and starts to practice with her, she was almost defeated by her second sibling. When she was about to be brought down to her knees, shards of ice came out of nowhere and grazed him. All of her siblings were in shock as Seulgi unlocked her ability to manipulate ice, their father immediately went to him and pushed Seulgi away. Feeling responsible of her own actions, she ran away from their home that night.

Her mother followed her until they stumbled upon a wooden cabin in the forest, she knew that Seulgi was on distress because she unlocked her powers so late and so sudden that it hurts her sibling. She told her daughter that from now on, her mother will be the one to train her to control her powers.

For 10 more years, Seulgi changed as she became more reckless and careless of her siblings whenever they trained Shaolin. She meditated alone instead of meditating with her siblings. Her mother worries that because of her powers, it changes Seulgi's personality, she became ambitious and aloof.

One night, her father instructed Seulgi to pick up her seventh and fifth sibling as they are taking too long to get home. As the eldest daughter, Seulgi obliged and went out to look for her siblings. Walking through the misty street, she heard a scream, she was surprised and went to the direction of where it is. She saw a group of thugs and was about to kidnapped her sisters! With anger, Seulgi summoned three weapons infused with ice and killed them right on the bat, her sisters hugged her but not long after, the witches saw the gruesome scene and the sisters ran with Seulgi back to their home.

Finding out that Seulgi did the unthinkable, their father starts packing up their things. Their mother on the other hand, pulled Seulgi away from her siblings as they went outside of Illias and into the forest, they went inside the wooden cabin and made an underground chamber with ice. They went downstairs to see an empty space and then her mother, casted a spell on Seulgi to sleep. Her mother had no choice but to preserve her eldest daughter for the years to come. She encased her lovely daughter in a large unmelting chunk of ice. There, she will be in deep slumber.

Not knowing her family will soon be hanged in the gallows for the crime she made...

For many years, Seulgi was a cocoon of her mother's unwavering power until someone broke her mother's seal. The ice melts in an instant, someone finally breaks the eternal icy prison and wakes up, unbeknowst to her that she is the last remaining monk of the old times.

Five years upon learning that her mother sealed her to an eternal slumber, she is currently adapting to the world that she is in right now. She's no longer in 17th century, now she had to learn to read the history again and what has happened for the last 203 years that she has gone into. Soon after, the Lysian Council recognized her expertise and assigned her as one of the guards until she climbed up to the ranks and became the current captain of the guards for the Lysian Council.

THE DUALITY.

Upon waking up from her icy imprisonment, Seulgi was still in shock knowing she is the only one survived from her family. She tends to be curious and looks at the places she's never seen before like a baby at her first baby steps, she's confident, meaning she won't dare not to ask anything she seemed unfamiliar with and she is very cheerful as if she never experienced any tragedy but she did.

Seulgi still holding onto the ways of the monk, meditating is her hobby, she might meditate anywhere when she feels calm atmosphere and thinking nothing but to meditate. She is also a generous one, living with righteous family always comes with a heart of gold, Seulgi was taught well by her father the ways of oriental monks and their ideology of their philosophy, most important way to live in a life worth living is to be generous.

However, if people managed to break into her facade, they will see a whole new personality. The real personality of Seulgi, cold, harsh and unfazed. She's dangerous when someone attempts on getting in her way, she'll not think twice on beating anyone. But she is holding her punches, the way of the monk does not kill an individual.
