background: tzuyu wasn't born from the riches, spending a life with poverty together with her brother after their parents abandoned them. as a child, she loved to sing and dance, often putting on performances at home and managed to clinch first place in a talent show when she was 8. often bullied in school due to her background though, she didn't have a choice but to become stronger to fight back, to which her brother (a professional fighter), taught her the necessary skills to do so, albeit reluctantly. this lead to a tumultuous life in middle school and high school where she was often called in for excessive fighting, though it was mostly the fact that she couldn't stand seeing other students getting bullied and had to step in. it wasn't until the third year of high school where her brother suffered a life threatening injury that left him crippled, and the only light she saw then was a nationwide singing competition where the prize money could potentially be used to pay off his hospital bills. she didn't win, of course, but through it, noir managed to scout her and offered her a trainee contract, seeing her potential. having zero knowledge about hallyu and the k-entertainment industry, she couldn't leave her brother, though he encouraged her to go for it, with noir also funding for her brother's medical treatment as part of the negotiations. and now, xueting's in a relatively huge entertainment company, accustomed to the life and working hard not with her fists, but her voice and innate talent to eventually debut and then aid in her family.
