Serving as the golden child to two mostly absent parents, Jaewon spent the majority of his life vying for his parents' approval. As a prominent ice skater in his youth, he found that there was little that would impress them despite his promising potential. Slowly, he began spending more time on pursuing his passions of becoming an idol rather than continuing down the path his parents had set for him. From after school vocal lessons to late night dance practices, he eventually garnered up the courage to audition for Noir Entertainment and successfully landed a trainee position with them.
