Your friendly neighbourhood ball of sunshine! You've probably seen her around Hanbit before; she makes sure you do, as she greets you with a wide smile and an enthusiastic "good morning".

One could even say she's something of a celebrity among the elementary school students. She's the "pretty bus driver" (quoted from a student, Pyeonghwa insists) who sends them home with a pat on the head as they alight. During her other working hours, she's ferrying tourist groups around Hanbit, proudly showing off her hometown.

oping for her life to always be peaceful, the Oh family named their second-born "Pyeonghwa". And growing up in Hanbit, Pyeonghwa's life was definitely peaceful, akin to the calm blue of the sea that the town overlooks.

As a child, Pyeonghwa loved putting a smile on her neighbours' faces, always greeting them happily or telling some corny joke she had learnt from her older brother. So when, one day, the marketplace grannies requested for a performance of her favourite trot song, who was Pyeonghwa to deny them? That moment birthed a small dream of Pyeonghwa's: to sing and have her voice bring happiness to others.

(cw: character death) The first rough wave in Pyeonghwa's ocean came when she was thirteen, in the form of a phone call to the Oh family's house. A traffic accident, a car crashing into a student on a bike. Pyeonghwa's brother passed away a few days later.

It took some time, but Pyeonghwa found the determination to live happily, for both herself and for her brother, and her rays of sun peeked out from the dark clouds once more. She tucked away her dream of becoming a singer with all of her brother's belongings, and chose a new one: to stay by her family's side for as long as fate allowed her.

Fast forward a few years, and Pyeonghwa now works as a private bus driver in her hometown. It was mostly school bus services at first, but as Hanbit grew in popularity as a tourist attraction, Pyeonghwa began to see more work involving tour groups. Regardless, her personal goal stays the same: to make sure all her passengers alight with a smile.
