growing up in the upper east side of new york, jennie needed not to adjust for the life that was ahead of her. she starred on her first tv show at the tender age of seven, a supporting cast member for a show about a girl who lives a double life: one who's a pop star selling out shows around the world, the other a teenager who goes to school and does her house chores. since then, jennie was enamored. she wanted what that person had, begged her parents to sign her in a management that could potentially hone her skills into that of a pop star. and they did, loving as they are, giving her the support that she needed for the years to come.

“you are perfect,” they told her, wearing a smile that she thought was of pride and joy.“you will be a star,” they whispered, their fingers carding through her hair before they squeeze her shoulder. “you shall have everything,” they murmur, their breath spilling on her neck, that one innocent dream turning into a haze of red. “the world shall bow to me,” she reasoned, something dark and sinister festering in her heart.

it was already too late before jennie realized just how toxic the entertainment industry was. while she enjoyed the glitz and glamour of it, the victory of topping a chart and having her name circulating the media so euphoric, it could not hide the truth of what being famous truly meant.
