hard headed, stubborn, controlling, but when he's well rested he can be kind and sentimental. it is relatively known that the night before with a pearl will be particularly rough, yet the morning after he will dote over his pearl for a period of time. 

likes: coffee, donuts, drugs, alcohol, and pretty pearls (and soft asses like mark).

dislikes: hard asses, paperwork, and night shifts.

background: 

before im jaebum became an officer, he and his younger siblings were raised by a single mother while his father was imprisoned for what im jaebum would later find out to be horrible atrocities his father committed. however growing up as a young boy, he was told his father was actually on a special ops mission in the military. since that time, jaebum had always respected men in uniform and similarly wanted to dedicate himself to service like this father. but once he got to high school, his mother broke the truth to him when he said he intended to enlist in the military. his personality changed to be far more nihilistic since then, allowing his grades to slip and starting smoking cigarettes and doing drugs. despite this, he still carried the same ambition of becoming a man in a uniform, but his goal instead changed from honoring his father to instead trying to right the wrongs his father had made. 

upon graduation, jaebum's gpa was just low enough to not qualify for scholarships at college, but he was able to get a scholarship for police training. when he joined the force in the same county he is from, he had the idea of protecting his siblings from any harm. however, he quickly found out that the station was full of crooked cops, and the very few officers who wanted to fulfill their duties were so stressed to the point they had their own vices to keep them going. without any support for himself, jaebum slips sometimes. on one particular night, he caught the attention of the chief, and the chief is the one who invited jaebum to the velvet lounge for "some well needed rest and relaxation for the hardest working cop in the precinct."
