Much of Changwook’s childhood was rather uneventful. He grew up as an only child of a widowed mother in the heart of Seoul, with a penchant for playing goofy characters around the house to help his mother smile. As he grew older he began taking care of more of the tasks at home, not wanting his mother to overwork herself. This helped him as he began studying, teaching him how to dedicate his time well to ensure he always had the needed energy for what was ahead. His rise to fame started not long after finishing his studies at the Dankook University’s Department of Performing Arts. Landing bit roles in smaller films and TV dramas, he soon found himself in the spotlight as the main lead of a drama in 2007. From there his career was a whirlwind of staring roles and photoshoots, only occasionally put on hold for solo trot hobby project. A project that though small would turn out to change his life for good. During the filming of the music video for his track “So Hot!” the studio had hired in an idol to be his scene partner, going by the stage name Tiffany. She was stunning, and the two hit it off during one of the many flirtatious scenes that were filmed for the MV. Changwook was used to this by now, having played many a romantic partner in dramas before. But unlike most scene partners he had shared the screen with, the idol did not leave his mind.
The two would cross paths occasionally, at one point even sharing a stage as her group announced him the winner of Best Male Lead at an award show. He would always treasure these small interactions and opportunities to talk with her, though they were often fleeting. That was until he had passed by her at the studio while filming for a new movie. It turned out she was shooting for a new MV in the same building. And despite his disheveled look (filming a fight scene), he decided it was now or never.
“Stephanie… May I have a moment of your precious time?”
He had confessed it all that day. How she lingered in his mind long after the shoot had finished. The way everything about her had enchanted him to the point that award shows were a delight, only for the momentary chance of striking another conversation with her. He had shot his shot and asked her out on a date.
Now, many years after, they are still going strong, having been touted as a power couple from the moment the news had broke about their relationship. He took a step back from acting, mainly focusing on his trot career as he gave his full support to Tiffany’s solo-activities. Their love continued to flourish until he finally dared pop the question: “Will you marry me?”
The two now work together at DSF, though Changwook prefers to be the stay-at-home dad with their infant daughter Eve. And though he wished he could have more time with his fiancee, he fully supports her in all her endeavours, wanting nothing more than for her to be as happy as she makes him.

• PERSONALITY
In public Changwook is a reserved and charming man, easily floating by on his charismatic smile alone. He will back it up with measured responses and a thoughtful outlook on life that often has him framed as a rather poetic person. This is very opposed to his more comedic side that he lets shine whenever he promotes any of his trot side-projects. In reality he is a good mix of both, but with a healthy scoop full of fresh dad energy to boot. There is nothing he enjoys more in life than taking care of his baby-girl and ensuring she has everything she needs even while mom is away at work. When Stephanie is there however, he will shower her in love and affection, wanting her to know just how much she means to him at every opportunity.
