TIGGER WARNING - some gore, death, and ed mentioned in backstory/below
Chapter 1:
Jennie lived a picturesque life. A present father, a nurturing mother, and an older brother who sometimes butted heads with her, but overall took care of his baby sister. A white picket fence to a white, two story house in the middle of farm land. Jennie fell in love with the animals, the nature, and the endless world of bright possibilities that seemingly surrounded her in a warm embrace. She knew she was lucky...but she didn't realize how much until she was 23 years old. Her brother was off at university while Jennie stayed on the farm with her parents to help them out, only for one late evening a strong knock to come on their door. Her mother was the one to answer... Jennie had to come from upstaires as she was helping her father get into bed, but when she headed down in her night gown, she saw her mother's body slumped in front of the door, a round object rolling and leaving a trail of blood behind it till it landed as the end of the stairs.
To this day Jennie can't erase the horrified expression on her mother's decapitated face, staring up at her from the ground...
The beasts in their black coats stormed the white house, painting it red and black. From the force of the supernatural speed running up the staires at her, Jennie fell from the siderail, smacking onto the ground floor, the force knocking her unconcious momentarily.
When she came to, those same beasts with stoney faces and blades for teeth leered over her. She was brought to her feet, forced outside of the bloodied house, to the front and made to look at the pires her parents bodies were plunged into, their heads dangling from the end of the sharpend wood, eyes rolled back and mouths agap in horror. Jennie was made to watch as they set fire to her house, the barn where the live animals were trapped, listening to their cries of pain as the cloaked creatures cheered and rejoiced in the death.
Barley holding on to reality, unable to stand on her own two feet, one of the cloaked figures leaned down to her earn and whispered something she could barley cling to. "You can thank you brother for this."
Chapter 2.
Even in so much death and suffering, it wasn't enough to let Jennie with her parents, but it also wasn't enough to let her live her human life. No, to bring true consequences to her brother's actions (actions unknown to Jennie) the coven decided to change Jennie into one of them, keeping her as a pet of some sort. She would pay her brothers price by becoming one of their own, changing her life to their ideals and their ways, her now number one enemy.
But Jennie's entire functioning from the truama went into rebellion. She stayed catatonic for years after her human life's death. She was almost like a doll in her frozen state. Was she force fed to stay alive? Absolutly.
Eventually, through the help of a singular vampire who became a sort of mentor, she was pulled form her state, into the present. She wanted to live, but...she had to accept that things had changed. She had to adapt if she wanted to survive. And she did. She wanted to find her brother. She wanted to find the truth. She wants to save her world and her dreams...even in a demonic body. She had to... it was all she had left.
Chapter 3.
Her coven of vampires allowed Jennie (along with a couple other newly turned) to join Wolfsbane in order to better understand their abilities and what contributions they could make to the coven. Jennie drinks blood as minimally as possible. Her coven would have to notify the intsitute of her feeding habits (as a flight risk, though she has never frenzied before). Some in her coven, including the mentor that got her out of her catatonic state, would hope that part of her rehibilitation into becoming a full vampire would be a better relationship with blood through this feeder program experience.
She does not drink blood she can see due to her truama. Visible blood scares her and can causes panic attacks and dissociation. Even in a state of completely and utter hunger, her fear and pain in relation to the crimson liquid overpowers any urge to feed (so far at least).
Jennie, though out of her catatonic state, is not the same, bright girl she was when she was a human. She can be selectively mute, but even to those she's not mute around she is a woman of minimal words. It takes quite the commitment for someone to be around long enough for her to open out of her shell, and to spot that gummy, bunny smile of hers she barley shows anyone. It's all there, within her, but it is private until a worthy creature appears. Then she doesn't let go and she becomes soft, actively compassionate, caring, and even using her love language physical touch to express her affections.
