✱ BRIEF BACKSTORY    ⸺  Basically she was the youngest princess to the royal family in the Joseon Dynasty who excelled in musical talents. Long story short, she was eventually rumored to be an unlucky woman as her candidacy for marriage was postponed for several years, causing her to be married off in her late teens. Due to this, the marriage was made hastily and she ended up with a man who did not love her, but loved the power that came with marrying her. She and him had 4 children together, and he out every little bit of joy she held for life. One night, he lost himself to a drunken fit of rage after losing a majority of their fortune to a bad game- insane, he slaughtered 3 of their children-- she had tried her hardest to stop him but was slain while trying to protect their youngest son. As if by a miracle, a woman saved her that night by turning her to a beast. She never did find that woman, but to this day she thinks of her in kind.
