Ever since Minjeong was born, her life was a living hell. She was born prematurely, her mother died giving birth to her and her grandparents doesn't accept her so she was put to an adoption where she was raised by nuns in an orphanage. They named her "Minjeong" as this was her later mother's name before she was sent to the orphanage when she was still an infant.

Growing up, Minjeong had to struggle with her fellow orphans not making friends with her as though they are scared of her. Her facial expression is far from bright, as if she was a child of a demon. At the age of 5, Minjeong unknowingly unleashed her dread presence where she made her fellow orphans fear for their lives as she protects one of the other orphans. Until then, her power became passive, uncontrollable for the time being. Which made her scared of being alone.

At the age of 10, most of the orphans in the orphanage neglecting and dismissing her like she was a ghost because of her passive ability to bring their fears. The nuns even separated Minjeong from their rooms to isolate her and even told them she's a child of satan. They put crucifixes in front of her door and inside so they could 'contain' her.

Just a few months later, someone agreed to adopt her but the nuns were hesitant to give them Minjeong because of what she could do but they made up their mind and signed the adoption papers for Minjeong before she starts packing her things. 

At last, Minjeong finally left the orphanage to have a new life. As soon as the couples adopted Minjeong, they flew from South Korea to america so she could have a better life there.

When she was 22 years old, she was still being ostracized by her fellow classmates in her high school and college because of her looks, even herself she couldn't figured out what is really wrong with her. She even ask for her adopted parents what is wrong with her, the couples looked at each other before telling her that she should take a vacation and go to Camp Half-blood, at first Winter doesn't want to go but her adopted mother and father insisted her that they will find out.

Little did Minjeong knows that both of her adopted parents are demigods, they can already see that she is no ordinary child. She took her to the camp and made her stay there until she finds out what she has been seeking, they left minjeong so she will figure something  greater in her, wanting their adopted daughter to be claimed whoever god she was born from.
