A prodigy in the arts, Baekhyun grew up wanting to be an artist like his mother, who holds a Masters in Fine Arts. It was at one of her art exhibitions that she met Apollo, or more precisely, Apollo literally bumped into her. Many showcases later, Baekhyun was born. Life, as it often does, brought him down another path, although Baekhyun still has a career in arts — he became a well-rounded idol.
Internationally acclaimed for his voice, Baekhyun's fame has brought him to the attention of monsters. Being claimed by Apollo only made his scent stronger to monsters. Various times have monsters attacked during Baekhyun's concerts or local performances, only to have their attempts thwarted by his bodyguard team. Mortals, fortunately, have their memories twisted by the Mist.
Baekhyun lives with his mother and bodyguards in a mansion that is co-owned by his mother and himself. A healthy sum of Apollo's sacred animals live on the premises, though Baekhyun keeps away from the snakes unless necessary. He rarely shows up to his mother's art exhibitions, not wanting to disrupt the displays.

Baekhyun once conducted an orchestra consisting of the animals on his mansion grounds. The short-lived orchestra was tooting, cawing, bleating, and yipping to the tune of 'Old Macdonald Had a Farm' when, during the second verse, one of the mansion's two snakes slithered across the grass and swallowed a poor chonky mouse, generating alarm across the orchestra members, especially the avians who were next.

Baekhyun manipulates light to create an illusion of him appearing as someone else, often used when he wants to escape the unwanted attention of pesky reporters.

Under his mother's encouragement, Baekhyun started to visit a specialist to manage his dyslexia. Their sessions were effective; slowly but surely, Baekhyun had improved on his reading and speech. This went on until his preteen years. A few weeeks after his powers manifested, Baekhyun and his mother returned to the clinic, only to find a new therapist. Though they were puzzled by the replacement, the new specialist quickly bought them over with her warm and approachable self, cracking jokes that even Baekhyun could understand.
It was towards the end of the session when the new therapist unveiled her true form to be a Fury. She latched onto Baekhyun's mother, flinging her away for she had thrown herself in front of her son. Seething, Baekhyun let out a shrill scream that was powerful enough to blow a hole through the Fury, disintegrating it. The mark of Apollo appeared above Baekhyun's head at the same time as he blacked out. Startled by the noise, the clinic staff rushed into the room and sent both unconscious mother and son to the hospital — the mother had only suffered minor fractures, while the son came to rapidly.
