Description
His father would permit him to wander those halls, between shelves of forgotten books and classical literature. His mother never much cared for such muggle interests. It seemed as though those fantastical stories were desperate to unlock secrets of magic muggles never would have access to. Moreover, her child did. Yet, he preferred the imaginative reveries of humans over real, magical history.
This fascination was attributed to time spent around his father, in the absence of a mother who worked as a professor in Beauxbatons. By the time he got his letter of enrollment into the French Academy of Magic, his interests had practically aligned themselves with his father's. Except, it was the opposite this time. His mother's domineering presence in place of his father's heartening one. It was quite the struggle, being separated from your preferred caregiver and forced upon the other one. Particularly when they were on two extreme ends of strict and lax. Only during summer would he connect with his muggle half, away from the strict teachings of magic and gruelling perfection. The best time of year, he quietly thought to himself.
Progressively however, his father grew weaker, a heart condition which only worsened with time. It was the first year of his high education that he last bid farewell to both his parents. His mother had retired from teaching to care for her sick husband, who passed away shortly afterwards. Although completely irrational, the guilt of not being by his side through fatal illness gnawed at Timothée's bones. Particularly when he found out that his mother was having an affair with an English wizard, a famous actor who could provide her with what his father lacked. She scarcely even bothered hiding it, but sought the consoling embrace of her lover even during the funeral.
It took only a few months for them to move to London with him, who seemed to make his mother happier than she ever was with her prior husband. For that, he was perhaps grateful. He could see why she liked him, he was good to her. His stepfather, who got her a position as the headmistress of the Wizarding Academy of Dramatic Arts. Who got her son modelling opportunities and pushed him to pursue a career in acting, to follow in his successful footsteps.
It was as though he had an easy road to fame and he was spitting in the face of luck. But see, he was never one for fame. Never one to willingly place himself in the spotlight, as was the case anyhow in Hogwarts, when word went around that his step-father was the heartthrob actor of his time. While the attention was pleasant, he disliked being befriended for nothing more than status. However, with time, he opened up to being social, although some of his friendships may not have begun with the purest intentions.
What he wished to pursue, if given the opportunity, was anything which would allow him to care for living beings, as he particularly felt worthy of existing when he was of help.
“Once, in my father's bookshop, I heard a regular customer say that few things leave a deeper mark on a reader than the first book that finds its way into his heart. Those first images, the echo of words we think we have left behind, accompany us throughout our lives and sculpt a palace in our memory to which, sooner or later—no matter how many books we read, how many worlds we discover, or how much we learn or forget—we will return.”

Name's Noah but you may call me by my character's name. He/they for pronouns and of age. You must be of age as well to plot with me.
Do not expect me to always be available, work will prevent me from being around at times.
Thus, please do not rush me or poke me for replies under any circumstance. I don't do so and I expect you not to, as I'm aware of my plots at all times. In case of delay, assume that I am occupied or simply will get to it soon. Trust that I will inform you if I wish to drop it.
If you'd like to contact me, I primarily use discord and kkt at the moment. You may ask for my handle in pms.
I only write in the third pov. Regarding length, I tend to go with the flow. If the scene/starter requires multi para, I don't mind doing so. If it's dialogue-heavy, I don't mind shortening, etc. I don't believe in mirroring, as sometimes one character has more to do or say than the other.
