revamped version of my #cookie jar au (originally a small, middle-of-nowhere motel au - now a large, upscale, luxury hotel au !!) the sweet rise hotel sits in the very heart of the entertainment district of a large city. surrounded by casinos, clubs, concert venues, and more, this luxury hotel is a white and gold monument standing on a plinth of skulls and bones. the staff running this hotel are not completely human, though they are in appearance. through powers of persuasion and magic, those who enter the hotel are doomed to never leave once they partake of the desserts offered with every meal. just one bite, and you will never want to leave the hotel until the day you die. the staff feed on the lifeforce of their "guests" until they've used them up, and bury them beneath the hotel to make room for new guests. thus the cycle continues, unless someone can break free from it.
