title: time/space anomalies

the time & space intergalactic phenomena research institute (tsipri for short) is a facility dedicated to the study of irregular events occurring across all of time and space. within this facility there is a special team known as the tsipri investigate & response group. the members that make up the i.r.g are a unique collection of humans and other species whose main purpose is to investigate any time/space anomalies at their source. a mission begins when a time/space fluctuation is detected, and the team is dispatched to the location and time where the fluctuation has occurred. from there, they must investigate the cause of this anomaly, and target the source to prevent it from tearing a whole into the fabric of reality. easier said than done. there is never a perfect mission, never a perfect outcome. they must simply do their best to prevent total destruction, and save as many lives as they can.

*the roleplay would work like this: there is off time which takes place in the tsipri facility (a gigantic floating ship in the orbit of an earth-like exoplanet), and there is mission time, in which the group is dispatched to the most recent time/space anomaly. hence, the time/space anomalies are treated as long events, possibly lasting 1-2 months depending on the scale. anomalies can range from sentient planets, the french aristrocracy in the late 1700s being replaced by werewolf-like creatures, dopplegangers trying to kill their originals, a child with a mind so powerful they can bend the universe itself, etc. all team members in the roleplay join these missions, but activity isn't necessarily required so much as the setting of the roleplay changes for a time. during missions, people can still continue threads in off-time scenarios at the tsipri facility.
