jiyeon was a name that his friends had long come up with to tease soonyoung, but it really only came into fruition when they decided to prank another friend by using this alias, making soonyoung pretend to be a girl and dm said friend and flirt with them. (can become a connection!)

daniel was a non-official name that he came up with so that his teacher in school would stop calling him "yeon soon yang"

denial was an alias derived from daniel, in which his friends used to by saying "denial is a river in egypt your husband is gay"

moved to and fro south korea and america before eventually settling down in sk with his mom and younger sibling (open for connection too!)

his interest in poetry and music led him to: lyrics, which led him to songwriting and singing. he's not the best singer in town, but he can hold his bars. he sometimes busks at small local events that don't pay much.

don't ask him why he majored in english. he must've been crazy when he declared his major

 

plot ideas/ connections

study buddy — doesnt even have to be the same course, they can kinda be the last two students in the library at night and then they start to notice each other's presence more and more until one finally decides to say hi to the other

so who's jiyeon — with his long hair and smaller build, it's easy to mistake him for a girl when his friends like to call him jiyeon. then he turns around and you're still doubting until he finally speaks and you realise all this time jiyeon was not a real person and soonyoung is a guy 💀
