Sumeragi Michiru was born into a family who are pretty well-known in the Japanese Entertainment industry. Her grandfather was a famous movie director, her father used to be a singer before he decided to retire and open his own entertainment company, whilst her mother is an actress. Michiru herself used to be an actress back in Japan before she joined euphonic records. She used to live in LA for a few years when she was 5 years old.

Michiru's journey to swerve the line of work was not a smooth one. Her mom especially, hated the idea of her going across the sea to pursue another line of work when she already made a name for herself in Japan. After much persuasion and thousand promises, young MIchiru who was just 17 back then, left Japan to chase her dream as a singer and idol.

After two years of training, Michiru finally manage to debut with another five girls in a group called "Wonderland"; choosing a stage name "Rise" and it was suffice to say that Michiru had finally achieve her dream and she made an oath to herself to always improving herself and grow as an artist
