Born into a family of three, Jeongguk was cherished as their youngest, enjoying a bit of leniency when it came to expectations. Hailing from Busan with a few assets to their name, the family wasn't wealthy but lived comfortably. However, this comfort came with a burden for his older brother, who was expected to mature quickly and provide for the family.

Determined not to fall into the stereotype of a spoiled youngest child, Jeongguk worked tirelessly from a young age. He matched his older sibling's academic achievements and even took on extra responsibilities beyond his extracurricular activities, working part-time during his teenage years. As his parents eased up on his older brother, the bond between the two siblings grew stronger, defying any resentment his brother might have harbored towards him for receiving preferential treatment.

Over the course of four years in the United States, Jeongguk dedicated himself to his studies, ultimately earning his Bachelor's degree in Brewing Studies. With his academic journey abroad now concluded, he returned home to the familiar streets of Busan, bringing back with him a wealth of knowledge and experiences garnered from his time overseas.

His brother's absence due to military service left Jeongguk with the responsibility of charting his own path in the brewing world. After extensive research, his journey led him to Avianis, where the locally grown fruits and berries sparked his imagination with their potential for creating exceptional brews.

For a year, Jeongguk experimented tirelessly with various brews and recipes until he finally achieved a breakthrough, instilling him with the confidence to embark on his brewing venture. Though the transition from Busan to Avianis presented its challenges initially, Jeongguk's dedication to his craft paid off as his artisanal craft beers and ciders gained widespread acclaim. Within another year, he proudly opened the doors to his inaugural taproom.

Golden Brewing Co. stands as a testament to Jeongguk's passion and determination, offering patrons a diverse selection of delectable brews and ciders alongside mouthwatering bar fare. With a commitment to locally sourced ingredients, the majority of his offerings hail from Avianis, with a few nods to his hometown of Busan.
