eunseok was born and raised in avianis. he has never left the village befire and doesn't really desire to do so despite the temptations of the city. he lives with his dad and a sibling after his late mother passed away in an accident.
1. lost hopes
eunseok doesn't remember what it felt like to be standing at the top of the world anymore. he looks back at all the photos of his college days when he had his whole family rooting for him. his mother always dotted on him, as he was the eldest son of the family.
when he graduated, he had been bright and happy, looking towards getting a well paying job and marrying his college sweetheart. they would've had a family full of cute children, and he would bring them home to his parents' to where his mother will prepare a feast for the whole lot of them.
he would have plenty of time to pay her back for all the sacrifices she had done for him, but all hope was shattered when eunseok receives a call from his younger sibling, telling him that their mom had moved on from the world.
since then, the cheerful eunseok had become much reserved and unstable. he struggles to keep his emotions in check and takes it out on his then lover. she had had enough of his attitude months later, and walked away from the hot mess. he'd lost his job due to his constant absence from work and wallowed in a pathetic self pity for over a year before a friend of his snapped him awake.
he goes back to work, earns money. cooks and eats his meals properly. but nothing would taste quite the same as his mother's cooking.

possible connections
1. the light of his life: it doesnt have to be romantic, maybe they dont even need to be anything more than acquaintances. but eunseok views this person as the light of his life, for one look at them causes eunseok's heart to light up with warmth uvu also possibly the friend that helps him get back on his feet
2. ex: you and eunseok had been through all odds together. college were crazy years, but you and him were going to get married in italy (or some other country) and have a family together. you'll both still be in avianis, and live near your family. but all that changed when eunseok lost his mother, and he was no longer the man you fell in love with in college. even though it was a tough decision, you decided it was best to give both of you some space.
