✱ BRIEF BACKSTORY   ⸺  aed was a fire elemental who got himself killed upon trying to save someone else the same time willem mangjeol, a mahuma, sacrificed his life to protect his twin brother against a rogue bloodthirsty ghoul (ironically, although he didn’t die because the ghoul fed on him). while willem’s soul had departed from the living for good, aed’s soul took over his corpse and brought him back as a ghoul. on the surface, it does seem like the two of them are polar opposites: willem was a ruthless bounty hunter who took the job for the thrill of it, whereas aed, despite his destructive magic, was someone who wouldn’t even hurt a fly. but the two lives begin to intertwine as aed takes on not just willem’s physical form but also remnants of his memories and emotions, and when paired with his inevitable desire for flesh to keep himself alive, it won’t take long before he starts losing himself to what is supposed to be nothing but his host body. !
