brief bio: kang spent a good portion of his life breezing by with the assurance that his parents' wealth would be something he could comfortably fall back on. they readily gave him anything he wanted, with the expectation that he would push himself to be the best at whatever he set his eyes on. baseball took precedence when he fell in love with the sport at a young age, and he led a promising high school baseball career that carried over into his college years. during those four years, he made an effort to excel not only on the field but also in his studies, which was time well spent in preparation for the future. kang had signed with a kbo team straight out of college and played for a couple seasons, making a name for himself as a top rookie, up until an arm injury halted his sports career for a few months. anxiety about his performance had shrouded his mind, and while he wanted to return to baseball, he was unsure. the contract had run dry and he decided not to seek another attempt. he spent some time finding himself again. a close friend encouraged him to study and become a paramedic like they were. he loved helping others and, honestly, he needed something to do, something to keep him going in life. and so, that's why he's still here to this day, doing something he enjoys.
